Heading for the great escape.
In the maingate Kissimmee areas,

The Longhorn love the buffalo wings
Cattlemans, nice for a change
Black Angus.. though last year the whole place had gone down
Avoid the Ponderossa for everything EXCEPT breakfast
Avoid McDonalds near the Allstars, quite possibly the rudest staff ive met anywhere in the entire Northern Hemisphere

I ate a few times in Ponderosa, there is a big one in Kissimee and another one in SR.535 I think... I remember the lunch buffet cost $6.00 three years ago. A very good deal! ....and there are also discount coupons for it in those discount booklets. :D :animwink:

Yep always make sure and pick up the discount coupon books before you eat out. You can get 10% off at just about every restaurant in kissimee.

Yeah sorry cymbaldiva, I should have quoted wannabeBelle.

I guess it all depends on what you like.

I know when I go to WDW I like to eat at DTD the most. The House of Blues is my fav. But for off property, many of the places to eat on I-Drive are good. Most are some kind of dinner show, like Sluths (sp?)(not sure if it is on I-Drive), or some kind of theme.

Tu Tu Tango's on International Drive is a superb restaurant similar to a Tapas bar, there is nightly entertainment lots of choice. A good kids menu and the kids get a paint set instead of the usual crayons certainly impressed my three which means a pleasant evening for mum and dad too.

I'm not shure why you refer to ponderosa in that manner , They are a national chan Resturant and are in most states

Oh, I will be there labor day. I usually go to HOB after a long night at Disney Quest. But eveything is very spicy (cajin style). I love it.

Bongos is great. I usually get a bunch of the side dishes to make a true cuban meal.

I also like Wolfgang Pucks, go for the sushi, it is the best in WDW.

For drinks I go to the Adventures Club. The seats move!

HOB is very spicy, and you have to know what to order.

About being at odds. I like spicy food but not so spicy it looses flavor. For a non spicy visit to DTD go to WPC. Just stay away from the Pad Tie (sp?) very spicy!

Then again I only order teh ribs at HOB. I to love the gift shop. (wierd how everything at Disney empties into a gift shop)
I have tons of Blues Brothers t-shirts. They do have very good deserts though.
