Where is the Test Track canopy?!

I used to love world of motion it was my favorite. Even seeing it in person I didn't realize it still looked like that due to the canopy and tree growth. IT STILL LOOKS LIKE WORLD OF MOTION!!! now I'm gonna cry, I assumed they had destroyed more of its beauty.

i'd be lying if i said there wasn't a little part of me that wishes it was just completely gone -
always reminds of what's not inside... even after all these years

Same here... WoM was awesome; very similar to Horizons and SSE. I miss those old style rides in general. The only part I didn't care for was being unceremoniously dumped out into essentially a car showroom at the end.

cause it's better now?
WoM had the bird and the robot and the water engine - there was a lot more going on than just the glorified dealership tt brought

... which was, unfortunately, part of the point

Whoa, I never said ANY part of TT is better now [over WoM]. I'm talking about the post-ride area, to be clear. And yeah, I didn't care for either version so much.

I actually liked that, but I was a little kid that loved all things cars who liked going to car dealerships lol

It never ceases to amaze me how people complain when Disney doesn't update thing then complain even louder when they do. If they left WOM alone you would not be able to force anyone under 20 into the place at gun point, it was substantially out of date when it was new now it would be a joke.

I believe what people are saying is WoM should have been updated and overhauled, not destroyed.

even if the history and current state of transportation hadn't altered drastically in the intervening 35+ years hence (has it, really?)...
of course it should have been plussed and cared for, updated and kept current - as any attraction should be, especially those of similar pedigree, caliber, and quality.

but your perspective reminds me that there are folks looking forward to epcot becoming more timeless, more relevant, more family and more Disney who wouldn't truly know a quality attraction if if sat on their face and started to wiggle - the same folks that couldn't manage to do anything other than nap on UOE.

take solace in the fact that you and your ilk have won!
continue being hyped for tt (20yrs), m:s (15yrs), and the new guardians rolley coasta - current epcot generally, and fwe specifically, were distorted for you!!

You say that like it's a bad thing... 😉

But this is what we really mean. 👍

You have the subject of pirates!...and all you do with it is a slow moving, boring scenic boat ride...good thing it was closed in 1998 , nobody under the age of 20 would've ridden PotC in 2018!

psshh - that stupid thing was outdated when walt was still kickin around

i view WoM (and it's dearly departed brothers and sisters) as high art, to be honest - nothing less...
and while not the sensory overload of a m:b or transformers, and in many ways their antithesis, there was still a place for them too and it just pains me that the one place on earth you could find that with such a high degree of quality was destroyed.

it's not as if we speak of these in a vacuum, either, as they would have undoubtedly been altered, groomed, and plussed (as sse, hm, potc - these were the same caliber of rides, mind you), and, it seems, people get hung up on that.
