Where is the absolute best spot to watch Wishes?

I was going to say "Sitting on Walt's shoulders on the Partners statue"! :p
But then you would have to be facing the wrong way... and things... would line up...

Fantasyland is good for something different.
I don't know if or how the castle walls have changed this, but my favorite spot is in Fantasyland somewhere North of the carousel. It's not perfect because you can't watch the big shells that are shot off from behind Fantasyland at the same time as the castle pyro, but the fireworks really do feel like they're right over you. Your head is kinda bouncing back and forth like a tennis match. The finale is incredible... it feels like 360 degree coverage of fireworks around you.

We love the view from the Wishes Dessert Party, no crowds to push through. Just sit back, relax, have some coffee and dessert, and enjoy. Then when Wishes is over you are recharged and ready for a late night in the park.

I love to be behind the castle between the Carousel and Pinocchio Village Haus. You have 360 degree fireworks around you and it is loud. Most are going off right over your head. But don't tell everyone about it or it will get too crowded back there.

One of my favorite spots is where the old Dumbo spinner used to be. But since it's gone, the benches are gone too. So you'd have to stand if you're going to watch it there, but It's a good view.

We took home a couple of pieces as souvenirs.

I'm sure I would not have found it so amusing if I had been struck by a piece.
The Next gen fireworks will have RFID in the shells so they can track where the pieces go and Disney will offer to sell you a fancy display case for them.

For the standard view it ha to be main street i watched them by thunder mountain a few years ago on one of the wooden bridges and watching the fireworks with the reflection in the water and the quietness around there added a whole new element to it for me. Plus was first one back on btm with extra magic hours after!

This is my favorite spot, sometimes you miss the fireworks that are by the castle.

This is great to know. We have reservations for Sat., Feb 2 and my husband was questioning if it was worth the money. Now I will be able to tell him I told you so!!

IMHO I don't really like watching wishes from anywhere but in front of the castle. Watching in fantasyland close to the carousel is really cool. You're literally in the middle of the fireworks. However, if you aren't an ap holder or cm and seeing wishes on a regular basis, I think you should see it the way it was intended to be seen, in front of the castle. There's a pathway that connects the mainstreet side of the hub to the bridge to tomorrowland. Right by the entrance to the pathway is a popcorn stand on the right side of the hub facing the castle. Go down that path a few steps and you have a completely unobstructed view of the castle and fireworks. The area is never crowded even when it's busy. And as long as you stay on the fence and not standing in the middle of the path you can stay there for wishes and celebrate the magic. Hands down easiest place to get an awesome spot without having to stress about fighting through crowds.

i agree with rricks 26 about seeing it from main street if it's a once in a decade experience for you. BUT, if not, and you've got little kids with you, i so vote for fantasyland. they are REALLY bursting right over your head, they come from all sides and directly overhead, they seem so much closer. our little ones are beside themselves, running around and squealing with excitement when we watch from there.

The best view I think is in front of the castle, but no closer than partners, since that is how the show is set up. If you don't care about seeing the castle, I found that over by the stockades in Liberty Square gave a rather clear view— the trees on the right block maybe 10% of the streams of pyrotechnics from the ground, but you can see all of the fireworks that are shot up into the air. Plus, waaay fewer people, and there are some handy places to sit.

Anywhere!:D The front of castle really is best to get the "full" experience IMHO. The dessert parties are nice for a cost, but it is relaxing. Tomorrow land bridge was a nice place too. Walking around behind the castle area was a neat experience, less crowded. I do like riding BTMRR or Splash during the fireworks. No wait! You get a neat view from atop the hills.:D I liked being on top of the train station Main Street USA, but had to get a "place" about 2 hours ahead. I only did this the year my Mom and Dad were w/ us in scooters and didn't mind the wait ( people watch/making conversations with folks).:D

We stood at the corner of where the Christmas Decorations store is. Actually it was right in front of where they do portrait drawings. The artists noticed we had a little one and that she was overwhelmed by all the people pushing to get a spot and let us in their roped off area after they closed down. She could sit on her Daddy's shoulders and watch it all and even got to see herself on the castle and then see Tink! Most special memory EVER!
