Where is EISNER now when we need him ???

Any chance that Uncle Mikey is going to "test out" Stitch's Great Escape before they "officially" open it?

I didn't know if he was that concerned or involved with the parks as he was 10 years ago.

Also, did Alien Encounter "sneak preview" for alot of Guests BEFORE Eisner experienced and put the kay-bash on it ?

He no longer visits new attractions, he has his micro-management team do that for him. I hate lazy people!!

If that is the case then we'll probably see the plasma cannons shoot less water to save on the "water bill".

And only open 1 of the exit doors as you won't have to replace those expensive "door hinges" as frequently.

I don't know how many people did the AE sneak preview before Eisner blew his top, but I know I was one of them (and it wasn't like I was trying - just happened to be on a trip to Disney back then). I'd imagine a good number of people rode it.

Incidentally, I thought Eisner was dead-on - when I got off of the original AE, I thought "what the heck was that?" Basically, we went into the room, everything went dark, the seat restraint shook, it was a little noisy, then that was it. It was terribly disjointed and not very fun. I think the post-Eisner revision was much better.

Sound almost painfully the same with this attraction. Part of me feels that there is no way that WDI doesn't see the glaring problems with this attraction that needs to be fixed. But on the other hand it seems like we are past the point of no return.

You think Eisner will close it for being "not scary enough?" ;)

I'm sure there were other reasons why it was re-tooled. But AE was supposed to be scary. Stitch doesn't have to be scary, just a good attraction.

Stitch is an attraction that I'll judge based off the audience reaction. I *know* I'll love the technology and animatronic figures, and I predict I'll probably find the attraction pretty darn weak. We'll see. . . but regardless, I don't think I'll denounce this attraction no matter how horrible it is (if horrible) -- rather, I'll see if the audience had a good time.

Didn't Eisner ride JIYI, the original version, and say it was awful? I thought that's why it got its second renovation--Eisner gave them more money.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think the renovation of the original JII was that big--probably similar to the AE -> SGE conversion. Eisner rode JIYI version I, so my guess is at some point he'll ride SGE.

My money's on SGE getting some modifications at some point in the near future, maybe within a year or two?

Disney, in my view, has been pretty good at fixing mistakes. Granted, sometimes it's not as good as if they had left things alone in the first place, but it gets fixed. I don't see how this is going to be an exception.

Maybe this is a silent protest by WDI about needing more funding?

BINGO!!! You hit the nail on the head with that post. And I might add that I bet WDI is counting on this.

This would be waaaaaay too dangerous of a game for WDI to play. After all the shakeups and layoffs they have had over the past 5 years, the last thing they are going to do is give management ANY excuse to look at them in a negative light.

Also, would they waste their own time and part of the $$$ budgeted to them, synching up the AA's and everything else to the storyline, let people create animation, etc.

I'm chalking this one up to, sometimes you swing and miss, sometimes you hit a double or a home run. Stitch is like a bloop single.
