Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Hi everyone, since I popped in all of your chit chat thread, I thought I'd introduce myself instead of being rude and not doing so. My name is Jasmine or Jazzy. I am 30 years old and work as a High School Counselor. I have been to WDW 10 times and was planning on an 11th early this June, but just recently cancelled and hope to get back in the Summer of 2021.

Welcome. Thanks for the intro.

I am Jennifer, the resident Canadian (or Cananadian if you prefer). We haven’t cancelled yet, but we won’t be taking our annual post-Labour Day trip this year either.

My brother et famille are supposed to go in mid-August. He says that if the parks are open in any capacity, he’s going. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m a little more discriminating in my old age.

I hear ya Jennifer. I could have made the vacation a relaxing trip at the pool and shopping at Disney Springs, but the more I thought of it I haven't been to WDW since May of 2019 and I wasn't going to do that. So I will wait till things get back to normal.

Welcome! Obviously I am "Steve" and I am an elementary band director in Brick NJ. I'm teaching remotely via Zoom Band Lessons.

So many of you are or have worked as educators. That is wonderful. Like I said I am a School Counselor and yes I am even working from home with the students sending me their concerns through e-mail and also doing text chats or phone conversations with some students during this lockdown. It is nice to meet you all.

For real though, I'm a 1st grade teacher. My interests outside of my job include the Green Bay Packers, WDW, and as everyone else knows far too well, I may be the biggest Survivor nerd you'll ever meet in your life - all thanks to this forum, actually.

Well it certainly looks like the youth of the world are getting a good dose of Disney with their education these days with all these teachers who love Disney. :D

We celebrated with dinner from Chili's tonight: Between the 2 of us we had 2 orders of Margarita Chicken, 2 salads, Mexican Rice, Loaded Mashed Potates, Broccoli, Strawberry Lemonade, and Mango Iced Tea, for $21 and change, plus a generous tip. It was great!
Such a bargain! We did the takeout a few nights ago...chicken fajitas, enchilada soup and chili, strawberry lemonade :hungry:. Warning...picture ahead 😉

I have been wondering how this thread came to be...like what was the original Bob Saget connection?
Not my story to tell. (Okay, I’m not even sure that I actually remember it.)
Mike just got back from FarmBoy (a small local boutique grocery store, where he doesn’t have to line up for 45 minutes), and came back with a baguette. As you know that means garlic bread, so we’re having some kind of pasta.

He also bought two gorgeous heads of romaine, so yay! salad. He didn’t say how much they were, and I don’t want to know.
