Happy Mardi Gras! Unfortunately, my Mardi Gras break was spent studying and working on a research paper, but I did get my fill of king cake which is always good.

It’s always been tradition in my family that whoever gets the baby has to buy the next king cake.
Remind me in 51 weeks so I can put in an order for one!
I had never had king cake before. They had a praline? one and the one I found the baby in was a sort of cream cheese? filling - which I really liked!

Sneaking into surgery room to shake some pixie dust on the equipment, that the doctor will use in the operation.

Sitting in the waiting room - we were told the surgery was at 7:30, but now they’re saying 8:45
Just popped back in there for a moment. The surgical floors have this "hurry up and wait" thing going on. Happens a lot. They drag patients in there at early hours, only to have them sit around (when they're also hungry, from no breakfast, etc.) It's frustrating, I know.
Glad to hear things went well, and you're on your way to recovery!
