That is exactly why we are reconsidering where to place that wall. If we can build one high enough to stop you folks from sending cold air down to us, we have the votes to pass it. We know that Canada has the resources to pay for it as well. The motto down here is if you don't like the weather, wait a minute. Trust me though, we don't generate cold conditions, it's our northern neighbors that are this continents refrigerator/freezer. If you leave the door open it falls down this direction. This needs to be said... we don't want it!

See what I mean... it's 70F here right now.Travelling south into SC, the outside temp has gone from 49F to 70F in less than 40 minutes.

Itās 80 where I am. And we just spotted our first palm trees.
Had to hop off I-95, and now weāre on US-17. So, so many accidents. Good grief.

US-17 or US 1 can be a really nice ride. Takes a little longer, usually, but, it is more of the old southern architecture. If you ever want to see something spectacular, like a natural art show, drive down from Myrtle Beach through there in late March and early April when the Azaleas are in full bloom. Some of the small towns along that way have every household lot covered with them. It is quite a sight to see. They even have local contests to see who (or possibly whom) has the best display of those and other flowers.Itās 80 where I am. And we just spotted our first palm trees.

That stretch of I-95 has a lot of accidents for some reason. Personally I think that it is because of those that decide to drive from up north non-stop to Florida. About the time they get to southern SC and into Georgia they are pretty sleepy and not as alert as they should be. But, that is just the old Defensive Driving teacher talking. Did your detour carry you right into Savannah? I see by that picture that you were pretty close. I really like that town. Haven't been in years though.

Many school districts do not resume classes until Wed. Jan. 2nd. So....I guess you'll have plenty of families to rub elbows with until then.

Traffic is horrible!, we didnāt even stop at the Welcome Centre (my call) and are just pushing through.

Actually you probably would have been better off stopping for a minute at the Welcome Station. Then by the time that you get to I-4 most of the rush hour would be done and it might be clear sailing. Probably will be by the time you get there anyway. It is still quite a ride from the Welcome to Daytona. I am assuming that you are planning on going on I-4 and right now you will make it to Jacksonville right smack in the middle of rush hour. Good luck.
