For our dinner we had a fried turkey, a baked turkey, stuffing, green been casserole, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato caserole, carrot soufflé, and mashed potatoes. For dessert we had pecan pie and sweet potato pie.

I made the stuffing, the sweet potato casserole, and the pecan pie.

Okay, just for fun, who was your favourite WKRP character?

For me - Johnny Fever. Hands down.
Then Mr. Carlson. Then Herb.

My list in order below:

Andy Travis (had a big crush on him back in the day ... LOL )
Johnny Fever
Les Nessman
Mr. Carlson
Venus Flytrap
Jennifer

Have to say that every actor in the show (didn't mention all above) were so well cast as an ensemble group.

For two completely different reasons....

Jennifer (no not you this time)
Johnny Fever
I spotted a recent interview on You Tube of both Jennifer and Johnny Fever. Howard Hesseman looked like he was 100 years old and Loni Anderson has aged fairly well.

I couldn't find the interview but I did find this picture. I couldn't see many of Gary Sandy, he must have been a don't look backer.

Andy for me as well...same reason.

I thought I quoted your dinner question but I’m just respond since I already have your attention. 🤪 Dinner was great - all the usuals - turkey, stuffing (so good with sausage and chesnuts), cranberry sauce, green beans (all the ingredients of the classic casserole but made with fresh ones instead of canned - outstanding) , sweet potato with marshmallows, mashed potatoes and prome rib. As I finished my plate I thought, “Oh dang - I forgot to take a picture for Jennifer”.

Ummmm yeah, I was waiting!

Hubby ate at (Emeril) Lagasse’s Stadium. He didn’t take pics either.

I can’t believe there is no love for Herb.
He was the Sheldon of the group. Annoying as all get out, but take him out and there really is no show.

That’s a stressful dream!!
Oh...my dreams are always really weird and wacky. Last night I dreamed that my cousin, who is going to Disney with us this Summer, "adopted" a baby sloth. And then she started suspecting she was pregnant again, and wasn't sure she'd be able to go to Disney because she'd be too pregnant and they wouldn't allow the sloth on the plane.

And when I am stressed out, I dream about tornadoes. Like...I will be outside and see a tornado, and then as I look around it will be FULL of tornadoes...like 20 of them, all around me, and I have to try to contact my family to let them know they need to take cover.

My husband gets a kick out of hearing about my weird dreams.

I've had tornado dreams before. They're pretty terrifying from what fuzzy memories I have of them. It's usually just one tornado, though, and I'm having to outrun the darn thing. Catch is, it's difficult to keep track of as it's approaching, as there are usually obstacles (tall buildings, trees, etc.) blocking my view of it's pursuit. The scariest part of the dream occurs when I know it's very close, but it is completely obstructed from view, so I'm just guessing on what direction to run and hoping for the best.

Yet in real life, tornadoes never were a thing of fear, but fascination. We'd get 'em pretty close on occasion back when I lived down in GA. My Dad is a weather nut, and loves studying clouds, and so on. I blame him. And we weren't always smart about it either.
Growing up, more than once my Mom was heard scolding he and I, with the words: "Get back inside you morons and put the binoculars away!" during a tornado warning.

My father was a meteorologist for the NWS and I’ve always been fascinated by extreme weather. But I don’t remember my mother ever discouraging me from going outside in a storm. Maybe she thought 4 kids was too many. :cautious:

I haven’t seen a single Thanksgiving dinner pic.
Just saying.
Guilty as charged. I actually thought about it, but our guests aren’t really big on the picture taking and they were hungry. We did ham, turkey, dressing , mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, real cranberries, jellied cranberries (I hate the real ones), and rolls. Dessert was pumpkin pie (store bought) and a pie with mint cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and peppermint whipped cream (my concoction) - a dry run for Christmas....
