Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Yesterday was my daughter's 17th B-Day.
Today school was out for both of us.....done 2 hours early.
We used our Early Dismissal day to go to NJ Motor Vehicles and obtain her driver's permit

I am sad because I cannot eat romaine, which is something I generally do every day.

Iceberg is so blah, and leaf lettuce is off the charts expensive this time of year. I haven’t had a decent salad in a week or so.
Like that old Doris Day song; Que Salad, Salad. Whatever will be, will be. The future’s not ours to see. Que Salad, Salad....

Wow....can you not drive at 16 there? I thought that was standard. Though, I think I was the one teen who DIDN'T dash out on my 15th birthday to get a permit, and I turned 16 and my mom told me she would allow me to renew it for one year at 16, but I'd be getting my license at 17, come what may. I hate driving.

Good luck to your daughter.

Driving age by state varies, but it's usually 16 for a license. I didn't get mine until 21 though, because I rather enjoyed having people drive me around to places. :hilarious: Finally, my mother convinced me that I really needed to get my own license. (But even now, I don't drive much at all.) ;)

My Wyoming driver's license expired years ago and I don't have one here, so I can't drive. I really hate driving, and I know I need to get a license here, but I am really just dreading it. I know it's good to have one, and we'd be in trouble if anything ever happened to my husband that he couldn't drive...so I know I NEED to do it...I just...really really really don't want to. It's SO much harder, and much more expensive over here to get a license. Most people fail at least the first time, it costs hundreds of euros every time you take it, and it's a really really hard written test. My friend took it the other day, said they went down the line and handed out the fail slips to just about everyone, several people left the test in tears because it was so hard. I think...why put myself through that when I HATE driving?

I did have a dream last night that I saw a plane crash, and I tried to call 911 (I was back in my home town) but my phone kept changing the numbers, so I shouted to my mom that I was going to go see if I could help. I ran out the door and went to where I had seen the plane go down, but there was no one there....then I saw flashing lights way down the other way, so I got in my car and drove there and as I was driving, I remembered I didn't have a valid driver's license and I had to be careful, but of course all the emergency personel and police were at the site of the crash, so no one was going to pull me over, even if I made a mistake driving.

That’s a stressful dream!!
