Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

So I told Ski that dad found the electric blanket.
Ski: Can you cancel the new one?
Me: Probably, but if you want it, you can have it.
Ski: (bad word) yeah, I want it.

Later, Ski: Wait, are you giving me the new one?

Yeah, not being as nice as you think. The one-year-old blankie can go on the bed tomorrow. The new one is 7-10 days away. 😂

Thank you. We thought the GPS was weird because with 73 miles to go It said we would arrive in 10 minutes. Yet when we crossed over from Georgia to Alabama the time of day changed. Turns out they are in the Central Time Zone. Who knew?? LOL :)
Haha. There’s a story for the grandkids ...
“Did I ever tell you about the time I drove 73 miles in 10 minutes?”

What's "Montreal smoke meat" - is that what we call pastrami? Looks similar through the package.
Slightly different.

New York pastrami v. Montreal smoked meat. ... The process: Pastrami is dry-cured, meaning the meat is lathered with sugar and salt until absorbed, then seasoned with spices and smoked. Montreal smoked meat is also dry-cured, but then soaked (like corned beef) to desalinate it before seasoning and smoking.

@Goofyernmost will tell you that Montreal smoked meat is better. They taste more or less the same to me.

They are pretty close to it in what it looks like, but, Pastrami and Corned beef are two different animals. Not really of course, but as Jennifer has said how they are prepared is a little different. Smoked meat from what I have seen tastes different because of the seasoning used. Smoked meat is sweeter and so completely tender that one wonders how the cow ever was able to walk. Not unlike NY Pastrami it is served piled a mile high on rye bread with only a small amount of yellow mustard (Montreal). It has been years and years since I have had a NY style, but I do know that the first bite of a Smoked Meat sandwich had me hooked like I was on Crack. I liked the NY style, but, something, I don't know what, was missing. Now I'm jonesing for one and the closest one is 1000 miles away and winter is setting in so it is highly unlikely that I will be venturing north. Thanks for tagging me @JenniferS.

Many places even down here advertise Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches, but, they never even get close.

Hate to say it, but, that doesn't look anything like Montreal Smoked Meat that I remember. Does Ontario have it's own version of Montreal Smoked Meat? Was that the Pastrami version or the Corned Beef Version.
It’s cold. Changes colour when heated.
