Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I went to Kohls this morning, just to browse for a while. They had their Christmas decorations up . . . And, they had pushed their Halloween merchandise/decorations to the rear of the store--guess they're already done with Halloween, even though it's over a month away . . .

That's so sad. It really sucks the joy out of not only Fall but Christmas too.

I was at Kohl's yesterday and they had Christmas stuff up, but their Halloween and fall stuff was still up in the main aisles and everything. And to be honest, I was happy to see Christmas stuff. Love that time of year. I've never been a huge Halloween person.

I'm with you. I never really liked Halloween even as a kid. I guess I did like the candy and roasting the pumpkin seeds but I'm not one for costumes. I did find though that I like celebrating the Halloween season at WDW, we went for a quick trip last September and attended the Halloween party, that was fun. But I do like Christmas the best especially at WDW.

I've never been a big Halloween or Thanksgiving person. For Halloween, I've never been overly into sweets or costumes, and we never really decorated that much for it. For Thanksgiving, we would always go to the same house with the same, dry and bland food with my brother and I being the only kids. So we got to sit around the adults talking about other adults we didn't know and what was going on with their lives. I never looked forward to Thanksgiving.

Christmas, though, was the best time of the year of my childhood. My mom went big on Christmas. Lots of decorations and presents, and we actually got together and did fun things with family - not just sit in a living room and listen to adults talk. We would drive around several times throughout the season to view lights around town and neighboring towns. We'd go through those light displays in parks and eat candy canes and everything.

For me, it's nostalgia of childhood memories that make the holidays what they are. And really the only one we celebrated in a big way was Christmas.
