It's almost time, @PUSH . For better or worse, let's make it a good show tonight.

Go Falcons!
You guys got the last two games. Time for us to have the next two. Although the Packers haven't won that much on the road in Atlanta under Rodgers. Playoffs are split, but I remember two games in Atlanta during the regular season... both losses. But it's a new stadium, so I'm hoping our luck changes!

Anyway... should be a good matchup! I'm really looking forward to seeing whether our defense was just good against Seattle, or if they are for real. And no better offense to test that against than the Falcons!

And I just saw that both of our starting offensive tackles are out, and our backup tackle is on IR... we started a 2nd year guy at RT last week, but the guy right after him is out as well... so we are pretty much starting our 5th string O-lineman as either our starting LT or RT... great.

Good game tonight, @PUSH . The final outcome should have been much closer than what the scoreboard said, due to some pretty bad officiating on pass interference calls. Yet our two team's tradition of always making it a fun & interesting duel has continued on for yet another season.

Although I'm intrigued (and anything by Ken Burns is amazing), I've passed on it, due to so much sad news the past few weeks around the world. Need to take a break from the serious stuff for a while.
I definitely get that, and I wrestled with similar feelings myself, along with my own personal memories of those times, but I'm glad I watched it.

So, after my too-early-for-Christmas talk yesterday, DH and I went Christmas shopping today. :joyfull:
We have a local department chain here that is going out of business, and we've always loved them for their toy selection, so we went to 2 of their stores today and bought Christmas and birthday presents for the grandkids. Lots of good deals to be had there!

I'm mostly concerned about the injuries to the Packers already. Not only were we on our 4th and 5th string tackles, but we lost out best receiver in Jordy Nelson, our best defensive player in Mike Daniels, and arguably our best cornerback in Davon House. We also lost a key role player in safety Kentrell Brice, who is also huge on special teams. I mean, our tackles David Bahktiari and Bryan Bulaga are top 5 at their respective positions, Jordy Nelson is arguably a top 5 receiver, if not, then he's top 10. Mike Daniels is an underrated player, and I'd say he's a top 5 defensive tackle in this league. That's a lot of top-tier talent to lose. We lost all our our elite players except Aaron Rodgers.

I'm reading a book on Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and just finished a chapter on Epcot's original ancestor, the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations of 1851, held in the Crystal Palace in Hyde Park.

Its 6.2 million visitors were all bored out of their minds and demanded more rides.
