They still have the clear ones strung along the eaves, but have shut them off. I've given Hubby the go-ahead to remove our railing and eaves lights next week before we leave for Florida.

The tree, I suspect, is going to be an all year long thing. The little kids across the street love our lights. They're so excited when they go up in (early) November, and so sad when they come down at the (technical) end of winter.

Maybe they just say that because they don't want to upset a crazy person!

I am an obnoxiously polite driver. I will let anyone in, anytime. Drives Hubby nuts ... and drivers behind me sometimes too. I figure we're all going to get there; what's an extra five seconds?

However, and it's a big however, if my lane ends/exits/is closed and I get over early, and hotshot thinks he (clearly not @acishere in this case) is cutting over at the last second while I've been sitting for ten minutes - no way.

You know the situation - guy (or gal) knows they need to get over, but zoom forward anyway, sometimes on the shoulder, and then honk aggressively to be let in at the front of the line. Nope.

This is when your finger comes in handy. No, no, not the middle one. The one beside it. The old-lady scolding finger.
