Lots o' fun today! Had to get a round bale out for the horseys. The bull snap on the gate was frozen, then we found that the heated waterer froze up overnight - so we had to thaw them both out. The horseys were very happy to have water again and not to have to eat snow. Then I found that the fencer was at 0 volts. After walking the entire fence line, we found a broken tree limb down on the fence in the back pasture. Once we got that cleared up the fencer was back to 15,000 volts. That keeps the horseys in and (more importantly) the other critters out! Now DW and I are in front of the fire watching the Packers and trying to thaw out.... How many more weeks of winter??

I live where the air doesn't hurt my face most of the time, however, right now it is supposed to hit 9 degrees sometime tonight. That said, I have never seen the three things that you used as examples. Inland NC has no known gators, I have only seen one small snake since I lived here (used to see one a week in the summer in Vermont), I have seen some relatively large spiders, but, only one the rest have been normal sized and even the one I saw was nowhere near the size of the one you were showing. Moral of the story... the air hurts your face apparently because you like the feeling.

Good game. I thought it would be a lot closer than that. But look at it this way - you can cheer for the Packers in the playoffs now.
