When I am sad, I buy stuff. Never actually anything frivolous, but something needed, or on the list to purchase anyway.

Today ... a new stove. Stainless steel. Double oven. Warming drawer. Four burner ceramic cooktop with warm zone. And yay! Lowe's had it for 20% off. With Air Miles points.

Still sad, but now I have a new stove. More stove than I will ever need but for three days/year.

Even something simple like you want to bake a frozen apple pie for dessert at 325* but have a chicken pot pie in the oven at 400*.

Oh my gosh! That's a nice little gift for yourself, I must say! (Note to self: Start building up self-gifting bank account, so that I can buy bigger toys when needed--instead of always buying chocolate, if I'm ever feeling sad. )
