Into the second day of driving. Probably going to go straight through and only stop for gas if we need it.

Yesterday between Texas and Florida, we must have passed close to 100 waffle houses and close to 50 crackle barrels. It was ridiculous!

I love the Waffle House.
Such unprepossessing little shacks with the friendliest staff and the best food!

It is an absolutely glorious day; 50-plus degrees, bright and sunny - the perfect day for Avery and his pals to move the stuff that didn't get moved yesterday ... which would be everything!

They did, however accomplish quite a bit yesterday.
Wendy's take-out was consumed, video games were played, rough-housing ensued, and numerous empty-handed trips out to his truck were made. Sigh.

Tammy was supposed to come over today, and we were really going to get cracking down in that basement. Now, I'm thinking maybe not so much.

They built one a block from my office downtown. I have eaten lunch there twice in 2 years. It's good, just not very filling.

It's almost like eating Chinese...two hours later you are hungry again.

That can't be right. Everyone knows that WDW no longer does anything different that is entertaining. All they do there is count their money. You were either under the influence or in a parallel universe.

A lot of that is purple though. You don't suppose that Figment has grown up?
