Our room. King sized bed. Yay!
The kids are in the same building, but around the corner. So, yay again!

We are on the second level of Building 4, which is lovely and close to Centro, although the nearby quiet pool is closed for the duration of our stay. No biggie.
How do you like Coronado so far? We've always thought about staying there, but the rooms seem very business-like and not a "Disney" feel.

My friend had a baby yesterday - her third - and I went to visit them in the hospital today. My kids are now 9 and 11 and I can't say I've held a 1 day old in about 9 years! I was painfully awkward. They are so little!! I changed the baby's diaper since my friend had a c-section and is in a boatload of pain. It was weird how it all felt so foreign to me and yet it doesn't seem like my kids are THAT old. Kind of gave me a weird feeling. Not good - not bad - just strange.

Once we checked in, the adults promptly unpacked, while the young'uns grabbed a 15 minute snooze.

There was zero chance we were going to make our first FP+ for Space Mountain :(, so we decided to eat and hydrate first.

Columbia Harbour House. Anchors Aweigh, one with tomato, one without. Gen had chicken nuggets. Ski had chicken and fish.

We all had the peach cobbler:

This is absolutely one of the better QS dessert options.

Turns out, I was a whole lot thirstier than hungry, so I only ate 1/2 sandwich, one single chip, and three forkfuls of the cobbler. No worries. Hubby was hungry.

After eating, we FP+ rode the Mine Train. Loved it a whole lot better than last year for some reason.
Gen's favourite ride so far.

Boarding Mission:Space (Green!), back in a bit.

One of my neighbors a few houses down is having what must be a HUGE party. It sounds like there are a LOT of people in their yard. There's no music though, which seems strange to me. Anyway, I'm having post traumatic stress flashbacks to the cleanup from our huge family party a few weeks ago. I definitely feel for them. Cleanup is going to be a doozy!!

We stayed here last year. Mike proclaimed "NEVER going back to POP. We loved the grounds, the lake, the rooms, Pepper Market, and of course, the main pool area. This year, it will definitely be warm enough to swim.

After 7 Dwarfs, we hopped in a 25 minute Pooh stand-by line. Was actually less than 15, although definitely double that by the time we got off.
No complaints about Pooh. Fun as usual.

At this point the kids are pretty tired. Amateurs. We hopped on TTA to relax for a few, before heading to Splash Mountain to use our FP+. Love, love, love Splash. Everything still looked ship shape, and the jumping fountains have never looked so good.

I tried to convince them en route to Splash that the 30 minute posted wait at HM was probably hokum. They didn't buy it. They should have - that wait was WAAAAAY longer than 30 minutes! :joyfull:

After Ski got a Sprite and Gen got a frozen strawberry bar, we made our way out of the park. Kids are fading fast.

Off to Epcot. Hopped right on Spaceship Earth. I think Gen had a little snooze. Stopped at Starbuckies to get them some caffeine.

Ride M:S. Two for Orange. Two for Green. I've done Orange enough times that I don't feel I have anything left to prove.

Crazy hat time.

Splash has always been our favorite.

We did 7DMT for the first time this trip. I think it fits that part of the park perfectly. Not everything has to be intense.

We will be switching things up a bit tomorrow.
3 FP+ at DHS tomorrow - 1st @ 9:20, last @12:50.

We told the kids we would come back here, enjoy a nice leisurely lunch at Pepper Market, swim at our gorgeous pool, and then shower/nap/relax until early evening. Back to Epcot for their ADR @ Chefs while Mike and have a CS meal somewhere in World Showcase.

They did get to swim tonight while we went and got water and GatorAde from Publix. Little scary for us seeing armed guards patrolling outside a grocery store. Stuff like that is uncommon up here.

Okay, last up for tonight - dinner pics and observations from the Garden Grill.
I can't seem to get pics to load, so I will do what @PUSH did, and just edit them in later.

I requested a lower level booth seat, and we had to wait a half an hour for it.

From the time we were seated, it was 20 minutes before our drinks were served.

And then another 20 before bread and salad were delivered.

Then another 20 minutes before the main food was brought out. Everything was lovely, especially the turkey/stuffing, the mac 'n cheese, and the salad.

We had seconds delivered of the salad, fish, turkey, and pasta.

Our ADR was for 6:55. We checked in at 6:45. At 9:05, our server was just getting around to suggesting dessert, which we all decided to forego.

The character interaction was outstanding, the food was good, but our server was inattentive, and very slow to deliver. :(

I would definitely go back, but perhaps on a much less busy night.
