Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Yup...I used to have to take allergy shots three times a week. I finally outgrew most of them, but occasionally have a flare up. My allergies rarely manifested hives though.

I would have to take the Benadryl (or what ever was available at the time) more than what you have taken in order for it to be effective.
I just bought a 40-pack. The pharmacist says 8/day!
Right now I am icing the tops of my legs to reduce the swelling before I choose between Benadryl spray, Bactine, or calamine lotion - none of which have worked so far.

Clearly, this is not my leg, but this is what both of my legs currently look like.
My chest too, probably by tomorrow. Ugh!

The only out of the norm thing I consumed while we were away, were the crab-cakes on Monday, and the sweetened peach iced tea on Tuesday.
According to the good old Internet, adult onset allergies to shellfish is quite common, irrespective of years of tolerance.

On the plus side, the ice compress really helped. Aaaaaahhhh! Also took 2 Benadryl. And I took off my pants and have decided not to put them back on. Maybe not ever!
Kids are not too happy. So that's a bonus.

Try some OTC Cortisone10% creme for the itch.

You didn't get into poison ivy or something like that, did you?

While at the Falls, we did not deviate from the paved paths, nor did I walk anywhere that Hubby did not.

Plus, I was wearing capris that went down to my knees. The hives are above the knees, minus the couple that have migrated south since yesterday.

If you Google poison ivy, the rash is a cluster of individual blisters, each of which has a yellow bubble.

My hives look exactly like the arm pictured above, but I figured y'all didn't really want to look at photos of my actual legs. The pharmacist did, but trust me, you don't. :joyfull:

My daughter used to get hives like that from milk products but she outgrew the hives thing. They're not fun at all. I used to have to give her Aveeno baths for the itching.

Will be completely gone before the 22nd though, right?
