My boss (who is also a good friend, we used to be partners before she became the boss) looked at the rash on Friday. She has chronic shingles. She said she didn't think it was shingles either.

My youngest nephew (RIP) had shingles about a year before he passed away. It looked horrible.Just covering all bases....

Adult onset is not unusual. My daughter, out of the clear blue, started to have a problem with eating cherries. She had an awful time with it. Her face puffed up, eyes closed, etc. She looked like she had been the loser in a prize fight. She quickly found out, through trial and error that it was the cherries. She doesn't touch them anymore and has had no problems since. Kinda sad really because she loves cherries. They just don't care for her very much.

Not to sound insensitive toward people who suffer from shingles, but I have a small complaint: Can the MLB Network PLEASE stop playing those graphic shingles medication commercials during dinner time. 
Maybe she was thinking about vacationing to Hawaii. I hear they have a lot of plants that can cause rashes and other allergic reactions.

It could be Purpura Rash
Purpura rash on a patient's back. The rash is the result of bleeding into the skin from small blood capillaries. The tiny purple spots of the rash are called petechiae. Purpura may be due either to defects in the capillaries (nonthrombocytopenic purpura) or to a deficiency of blood platelets (thrombocytopenic purpura). I do not like tomatoes. I do not eat tomatoes. I am uncomfortable even talking about tomatoes.
Truth is, after a year or two of working in a pizza/sub shop in my late teens, I developed a contact skin allergy to the acid in tomatoes; ergo, I do not even touch tomatoes.
