It's a cruel joke our brain plays with us on road trips. You can go the exact same distance & route both coming and going. Yet going on your trip is a breeze, but coming......back.......home.......always.....never......seems......to.........end......and.......goes......on.....and.......on........forever.........and...........EVER!!!!
My coming-home monotony usually hits me on the stretch of I-75 between Chattanooga & Knoxville for some reason. Only a 2-hour distance at best, but seems to always take the longest coming back.

I LOVE embarking on a road trip when it's dark, and watching it gradually get light as I'm driving.

We always used to leave here at around 9 or 10 pm to avoid the rush hour traffic in NYC and DC, so by the time we got through VA the sun would be coming up. You're right, watching the skies brighten as you drive is pretty cool, and energizes you.
It's still a long drive though...
I agree. Dark > light when driving. So hopefully the peacefulness will carry me home quickly.

Vince was on the Packers roster a couple training camps ago, and he walked through the crowds to practice instead of the underground tunnels. But somehow he didn't takes Aaron's starting job.
