Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I have great neighbors. Tonight it was my turn. My doorbell was ringing over and over and my cameras had already told me someone was there, I pulled on sweats ( I don't sleep in much) and gun in hand I opened the door. It was my friend from 2 doors down. She told me I think Jim is dead. I I didn't know what to do, but I knew you would. She was in her nightgown and it was about 25F out. I invited her in and said stay here. I think she is 90 and Jim maybe 92?. I ran down to their house. Jim was indeed dead and had been for a while. No pulse, no breath and he was ice cold. I called my next door neighbor who is a Nashville fire Capt. Thank God he was off shift. He and he wife went to my house to look after June. I called 911 and waited. What a crap night. But she came to me for help. That meant something. And no I couldn't do anything. The fact she thought I could really meant something. If I remember correctly he had stage 4 colon cancer. If I make it to 92 I am good with that. I did really love Jim and in his younger days (80's) we watched a lot of football together.

Update and not sure if this is good or bad. When I got back to my house After they had taken Jim, There was a woman and a man about my age with June and Chris and Missy. I am thinking the woman who did all the talking was her daughter. Maybe daughter in law???? I asked her what the plans were and they said we should take June home. I asked if they were going to stay with her and they said, she does good and she has you if she needs it. Call us if she needs something. Excuse me??? They left. Chris and Missy took June home. Chris came back to talk to me. Missy stayed the night with her. Chris told me he had her call her kids when I was dealing with EMS. He has no Idea who was a son or daughter. They never gave their names and he has no numbers. I sat on the porch and had a cig and he lit a cigar. I told him I think my flock just doubled,. He told me yep. If it is a problem we got you ,but I have no doubt you got it.
I just realized that I posted this here. I meant to post in our chat in the PML. I follow a lot more than I post here. Hi, I am Jay. I post a lot in the PML, so a few of you may be confussed. My wife has had a lot of health issues over the last few years. I lost her last month. Her mother who has dementia has lived with us. I decided to continue to take care of her mother as long as I can. She was the first member of "my flock". Now I have one more. No offense to anyone here or in chit chat. I just am a bit of a private person, but I guess not so much anymore. Nice to meet you all.

Yesterday was the snowiest November day in Madison ever recorded, with 9.3". The previous high was 7.6", recorded in 1995.

Where I live, we had around 10" as of 9pm last night. I haven't seen the final total yet.

We had about 4-6. It was very light. Looks pretty but it can be gone by the end of December.
Originally we had planned to go to some
Christmas bars, one we had to buy tickets in advance, luckily we were able to change the tickets to Friday instead of. My husband made fun of me when I told him to switch days because the weather forecast said we would just get a trace. But yesterday he said I had been right to switch days.

No worries. Life can be a bit crazy at times.
My deepest condolences for the loss of your dear wife.
I, honestly, hope I go before my beautiful wife, because I’d be totally lost without her. OK, a bit of hyperbole, but you get the idea. She is everything to me, and I try to be so for her.
And continuing to take care of your MIL is very good on you. It was an honor to do so for my MIL, as well, even though it was mentally painful much of the time. It’s what we commit to when we get married, and it’s all about love.
Anyway, it’s very nice to meet you, Jay, and I very much always look forward to your posts…!!! :)

Wow! That's unique and gorgeous! I've never seen Barbie ornaments before -- really cute! 🩷
Thanks, Minnie! They're Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, started out in the early 90s as replicas of Mattel's "Holiday Barbie" dolls.

I've always been a girly girl, and after the first one that I bought, my mom decided her "thing" would be to purchase the new one every year as one of my Christmas gifts. She's gone 4 years now, and I think I'm kinda done with/over the Barbie tree--I nearly didn't buy this year's ornament (the Hallmark ornaments have gotten ridiculously expensive!!) but my hubby insisted and bought it for me. Hopefully, one of my nieces will want it, otherwise maybe I'll try to sell the ornaments.

Okay, one more if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry ….

We’re moving. Again.
Considering we lived in our house for almost 23 years - once we move, this will be our 5th address this year!

We’d only planned on staying with my brother J for a couple of months until we could figure out where we were working and what we wanted to do. Now we know.

We’re only moving about 7 blocks away, but it’s a 4 bedroom bungalow with a huge yard for Daisy, and no one with cat allergies in the house, so I can get my two kitties back from Ski.

My other brother T (whose wife booted him out in September) will be moving with us. He has MS, so one level living will be better for him when he’s having his bad days.

I get the keys tomorrow, so I’m going to start moving boxes and bins from storage immediately. We won’t move-move until between Christmas and new year when we’re closed for 9 days.

Mike and I will be taking over the whole basement. It’s nicer upstairs on the main floor, but the stairs are too hard on T.

Adventures in moving -- again -- and/or "variety is the spice of life" . . . ! :joyfull: Gotta say, your lives have never been stagnant; and here is yet another new chapter for you, Mike, and T, plus Daisy and 2 kittens!

Wow! That house looks quite spacious. And I know that you'll have a blast decorating it top to bottom (not referring to any holiday decorations, but the actual furniture layout, wall items, etc.). I realize you both will be busy at work and so forth, but I know that decorating new living spaces is a hobby for you! ;)

Got the keys today. Made a few trip to storage and delivered some bins and boxes.

We won’t be fully moving until the 18th/19th, but by golly, the tree is up.

Spenser got his Christmas present early.
We set it up immediately!

The viral “Grinch” tree. (Bigger than the pic would have you believe - approx 4 1/2’ tall. The four smaller gold balls are regular size. The large one is slightly smaller than a soccer ball.)
