How would moving to a different house affect your sundial?
Angle of the sun joke
I just got done with a target interview where I recorded myself answering different questions. I really hope this goes well. I desperately need a different job.

So, eventful day. I went to get some groceries from a store that's not my regular grocery store, and as I was biking home, I see a guy walking down the street. There were cars parked in the street, so I could only see his torso, but his chest was bare. It's 55F Today, so I'm thinking that's pretty chilly without a coat or anything... Then I get up even with where he was walking. Naked. Buck naked. Not even socks. He looked about 60, and is obviously not mentally well, and may have been under the influence of something, but he is just casually meandering down the street in all his glory. So I went around the corner and called the police, and there was a father with a young girl on the back of his bike and he was turning his head around to look and he was on the phone, and then he turned his bike around and went back around the corner while he was on the phone, so I'm assuming he was also talking to the police.

I didn't know if I had to stay there to give a statement, but the dispatcher asked me in which direction he walked and where I was and I had to go back a bit to see which street he was on. I couldn't see him anymore then just as I hung up with the dispatcher, the guy reappeared and was walking back the way he came. He had walked past a school and down to the main street. I wonder how many people called it in. Some poor teacher had her entire class of 25 students that went right by him. I'm betting there will be some notes going home to parents explaining why their kids are talking about the naked guy they saw at school.

I thought about it later, and maybe I should have asked him if he was OK or needed help. Obviously he wasn't OK, but I don't know what I could have done to help him short of escorting him back home. There are apartment buildings there and just as police pulled up, he had gotten back to his original location and was just going in when police parked. I don't think he even noticed anyone was watching him. He was completely calm, not shouting anything or even speaking to anyone, but you never know how someone will react when you approach them, so maybe it's good I didn't? I don't know.

It was just very strange. Should I have approached him instead of calling it in?

I'm sure he'll be easy to be spotted by somebody who knows what to do in such situations

Well the police saw him as they were pulling g up. He was just getting to the apartment building and they saw which building he went into, so they went in after him. But he obviously needs some sort of help whether it's for substance abuse or mental illness, or dementia. There's a restaurant take out place down on the corner he walked to, so it's possible that when I couldn't see him anymore, he went in there to ask for food, but I don't know. But he walked back just as casually as he walked down towards the main street. So I don't know if he just thought he was going for a walk, or if he went out with some purpose and then was sent away so he went home, or what. I tried to look it up, but it's not on the police blotter and there aren't any articles, at least not yet. But since police followed him inside, I'm sure he's been found. But will that get him the help he needs? That's the question.

I wouldn't have approached him. You never know what could happen, so it's better safe than sorry. I would have called it in, just like you.

One school holiday down. We only had a half day with students, because it was the end of the quarter. It was nice to not have an entire day of craziness. Our 1st grade team dressed up as baseball players. We got custom baseball jerseys made with our school name on the front and our last names on the back.

Even though kids were only there for a half day, I'm still exhausted. Halloween landing on a Friday should be a law.
