Is the one in Ireland located in Dublin? I think I saw that.

I saw it in 1996 but I'm sure it always looks the same. 1896, 1996, 2025...just looks the same.

Many, many years ago, I visited Ireland with a friend and her family. I just recalled yesterday (after SteveBrick shared his video), that we briefly went to Trinity, and saw a few pages of the Book of Kells (all securely displayed for viewing -- no touching! ;) ).

It dawned on me this morning, that the reason why I didn't recall either the magnificent interior of the structure, nor the Book of Kells display right away, was because we were only on our 2nd day in Ireland. You see, the massive change in time really threw me for a loop, and I was practically sleep walking during the day, until about day 4. Guess I wasn't cut out for overseas time zones! :p

I would definitely spend a lot more time in a library if it looked like this!!

Gotta’ love barrel vaults, whether they’re eyebrow, elliptical, full round, etc.
Intersect barrel vaults with other barrel vaults and you get groin vaults, which can leave a nice place to hang a light fixture (first pic is from the internet, second two pics are from projects we did at the old firm)…!!! :geek:

Today is my second day in Ireland, and I completely understand.

The older I get, the longer the jet lag. Ugh.

I've been to Dublin many times, I guess just never did the tourist sites because it was more a "family visit" than a vacation, if you know what I mean. We'd go to Dublin to shop.

I've avoided Dublin city for over a year now, because 2-3 years ago, gangs of teenage thugs started targeting tourists (especially US tourists) and beating them senseless. It's disgusting and a real black eye for the city. Several tourists have wound up in hospital and one died.
