There is a nice long winter break this year for us, so hopefully I'll be rested up. However, I am on alert for flight deals for WDW during that time, that will rejuvenate and exhaust me if I decide to go.
Also, I can't remember if I shared this at the end of my last TR, but I have friends who were/are thinking about going in December for a long weekend. They have been before, but never truly have. They half invited me to go with, but I haven't heard anything about it since. One of them works in Badgers athletics, so he doesn't know his schedule yet, but I'm still holding out hope that everything works out and I can go. If they are even still thinking about it. I'd probably have to use all three of my personal days, but I totally would!

Since we were talking about feeling well rested... the thing I love most about summer is the lazy mornings. When I wake up, I don't have to rush to get ready. I can lay in bed if I want. I don't have to shower right away. I love it. Obviously, I love all the fun activities that happen over the summer, but lazy mornings are peak summer vibes.

That's every day when you're retired.

Or nearly there, and work from home. 😁

My great grandma used to make the best deviled eggs. She had her own special recipe. We still have it and use it to make vegan egg salad sandwiches Every once in a while.

Our oldest daughter is vegan, and is (so far) raising our two young granddaughters on a vegan diet. Our son-in-law is an omnivore.
Her vegan recipes have gotten so good over recent years, that I actually prefer some of them over similar dishes with actual meat in them…!!!!! :hungry:

30 Labor Day Memes to Help You Celebrate the End of Summer

We actually bought a new fridge…!!! :geek: The one in the kitchen (garage fridge is only about a year old) has been on its last leg for a coupla’ months, or so. Fortunately, it’s still limping along, as we hoped it would through at least Labor Day, ‘cause of the sale prices, of course.
The new fridge will be here Friday…!!! :)

I also have a distinct change in hours coming.

In Lindsay, the office was open 11-5 Saturday-Thursday; closed on Fridays - which was a significant shift from the industry standard.

My new office hours are Monday-Thursday from 1-7, weekends from 12-5. This would be awesome if these were the good old days where I could easily sleep until noon! Nowadays, I’m up between 6 and 7 for an hour or two, before possibly drifting back off until 8:30/9:00.

Tell me about it…!!! ;):)
After continuin’ to brush up on guitar this mornin’ (haven’t missed a day since I bought the new one), and droppin’ our son (Matthew) off at work, I spent a total of about 2 hours in 2 different music stores 🎸😁, before chillin’ in front of the TV… :cautious::cyclops:
Of course, after all that, I spent some of my “leisure” time doin’ dishes and foldin’ laundry…!!!!! :angelic::hilarious:

I haven’t slept through the night in decades…ever since Megan was born (1991), and it’s stuck with me since.
I finally dozed off about 12:30a yesterday morning, and was back up about 3:15a. Finally dozed off again about 4:30a, and woke up for the day about 6:20a.
Used to happen similarly when I was still working, as well. I almost never take naps during the day, either. :cyclops:

Anyway, I hope you are able to adjust to your new schedule soon…!!! :)

That was true for a little while, but in the last year I've been getting up for an endless line of Doctor's appointments. I have to get up earlier than I ever did when working. (well, mostly) It seems like they are trying to figure out if I'm about to shuffle off this mortal coil or perhaps try and figure out why I haven't yet. Either way it doesn't make for a fun life. A couple of procedures coming up that hopefully will extend it instead of shorten it.

I have a procedure coming up that I can't eat the day and take some magical drink for hours(if you know what I mean)

You know how hospitals are always complaining about money when they charge an arm and a leg (in the US). Well, I found the answer.

Person got time off for a day but worked it instead. Person gets paid for both which in this case is 24 hours.
