No clue, but most of them are scented, so I avoid them

Year 9 of teaching starts tomorrow. I spent 4.5 hours at school today, sorting through supplies and prepping for the week. I also recorded a video of me reading a "night before 1st grade" story and sent it to families tonight.

I opted not to send the letters from home to families, because I already had a lot of things to send home. I didn't want to add more, and that was something I could incorporate at a later date.

Thank you! I know you've already started, but I hope it's been going well and you have a good year, too.

I've been wanting to do the video for the past few years, but it's always gotten shoved down my extremely long to do list. I wanted to have it done for Open House, but ran out of time. I quickly put it together today, but I'm not thrilled with the quality. Maybe I'll redo it next year.

Day 1 is complete!

It was honestly maybe the easiest first day I've ever had. It went so well. I keep knocking on wood, knowing this is the honeymoon period, but I think I have a great group of kids. I think it's going to be a good year.

However, that doesn't mean I'm not exhausted after today. The first day takes it out of you!

It was my 8th day and I'm still exhausted!
