Rewind to my birthday last Friday and the Zoom interview I had in my car on a tree lined street that I used to live on 54 years ago ….

Mike interviewed for the same position a few days prior. He said to them, please hurry up and hire me, because once you meet my wife, I won’t have a chance!

I. Got. The. Job!

And Blessing #2 - they’re hiring two people - a main salesperson and a part-time support person (which is expected to quickly evolve into full time as well). Mike got hired too!

And yes, it’s in new home sales - because as I said, that’s all I know!

I would have preferred him to get the lead position and me to be the support, but either way, Thank you, Lord, they want us both.

The site will be less than 10 km from where we’re moving! I am so excited. This is the perfect position for both of us! We start in a few weeks.

God didn’t open one door, He opened two!

And…….
THERE IT ISSSSSSSSSSS…!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull: :joyfull:

Thanks, Minnie…!!! :)
I think I fixed it.
It showed up for me when I first posted it, but later I noticed it had the rectangle with the question mark. I figured it was just a temporary glitch, and it would show up again later.
I’ve had similar happen with other members. I can’t see their image, but everyone else can. Some members can see the image, but others can’t, etc.
Anyway, thanks again for the heads up, and, hopefully, it’s fixed now.
If not, I ain’t gonna’ lose any sleep over it…!!! 😴;)

Just for grins, my yesterday…!!! ;)

I had a bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch for breakfast…!!!!! :hungry:

IMG_1407.jpeg

Shortly thereafter, I then headed to Discount Tire, as I needed a coupla’ new ones. Rear tread was fine, front (driving wheels) not so much.
I got there before opening , so I’d be the first one in line…yea, I’m “That guy”, when it comes to stuff like that, anyway…!!!!! :hilarious:;)

IMG_1476.jpegIMG_1488.jpeg

I enjoyed some chill time at home after that, watchin’ TV to “ketchup” on the news, etc.

A bit later, I dropped Matthew off at work, at the Goodwill store in our old neighborhood, a little before noon.
At that point, my gas tank was about dead empty, so I headed to the H•E•B down the road to fill up for a decent price…!!! :)

IMG_1426.jpeg

I then headed home to a lunch of a leftover ham, egg and cheese croissant, which was actually pretty darn delicious…!!!!! :hungry:

IMG_1434.jpeg

I chilled for a bit more, then headed to Guitar Center to pickup some picks…actually, a “celluloid medley” of picks…!!!!! :hilarious:

IMG_1428.jpegIMG_1451.jpegIMG_1431.jpeg

The price for these was $8.49 ($9.19 with tax)…!!!!!😅 When I first started playin’ back in 1980, picks were in bulk on the counter in an open container…just grab a bunch and count ‘em out…they were a nickel apiece. :greedy:;)

A side story…
Back in the mid 80’s, my youngest bro (Larry) had 4th row floor seats for Van Halen.
After every song, Eddie threw his used pick out into the audience, and my brother caught one…!!! 🎸:)
It was pretty chewed up, as you can imagine, with the way he played, but it was kinda’ cool to have it…!!!;)
No clue if he still has it…?! 🤔

About 10 minutes after I got home (I saw it comin’ as I walked outta’ Guitar Center), a deluge ensued…

IMG_1441.jpegIMG_1444.jpeg

It poured for about 20 minutes, which was great ‘cause we definitely needed the rain…!!! ⛈️:)

My yesterday to be continued, because of 10 pic per post limit…!!! ;)

My yesterday, continued…!!! :);)

During the deluge, I “fiddled” ;) around on my newer acoustic guitar…there was lightning and I was NOT gonna’ tempt fate with any electric guitar fun…!!!!! :in pain::angelic::hilarious:

IMG_1482.jpeg

After that, I managed to get the dirty dishes from the sink into the dishwasher, and fold the laundry…!!!!!!! :joyfull:🎖️🤣;)

Then…….
Carolyn was home by the time another deluge was headin’ our way…!!! :)

IMG_1453.jpegIMG_1454.jpeg

It was still drizzling when Carolyn and I headed out to get some dinner, then pick Matthew up from work.
We decided on Olive Garden (I know, I know )…!!! ;):)
Salad and bread sticks, of course, along with my Tour of Italy, and Carolyn’s lasagne…!!!!! :hungry:
(We got Matthew a to-go order of 5 cheese ziti.)

IMG_1458.jpegIMG_1463.jpegIMG_1468.jpeg

After that, we headed out to pick Matthew up, and then back home to chill (and digest ;)) before bedtime…!!! 😴:)

And, that was my, seriously exhausting, yesterday…!!!!! 😁:hilarious:;):)

No “I know, I know” from me. We unashamedly LOVE OG!

Yep, I remember you posting about OG before, a while back. (Mike also had the Tour of Italy, IIRC 🤔). We like it well enough…!!! :) We have an authentic “mom and pop” place about 20 minutes (less than 5 minutes from the old house) down the road, but it’s a bit pricey. The family that runs the place moved here from New York back in about 1980, and their recipes have been passed down through the years…!!!!! :hungry:
Anyway, yes, I probably shouldn’t have bothered with the “I know, I know”, but I’m sure some, whether spoken/posted or not, will have that reaction… :cautious::cool:;)

And, on a sad food note…
We ran outta’ Girl Scout Caramel deLites cookies tonight… No access to another fix until mid January… :(
No clue who the culprit was (pic below found on the interwebs…..as far as y’all know :cautious::cool:), but, when we find out, they’re in BIG trouble…!!!!!!!:bored:

😁;) and :hungry:
