Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Disney has been doing the one park open while the other is closed thing so beware of that @PUSH I hit reply under the wrong person.
Disney announced that both parks will be open this summer. They always used to be.

From the Disney Parks Blog:
For the first time since 2019, Disney World will have all 6 of our parks—all 4 theme parks and 2 water parks—open at the same time. From May 21 through September 7, Disney World guests can enjoy the tropical shipwreck oasis of Typhoon Lagoon and the frosty fun of Blizzard Beach water park.
Before the summer fun can begin, Blizzard Beach will need a little melt away time and will temporarily close between May 1 and May 20.

That's horrible, even more so this time of year! Are there shelters set up for those in the dark?
Warming centres, shower facilities at rec centres and gyms, etc.
We have hydro linemen from all over the country working 16+ hours/day, many of whom are sleeping in their trucks.

A lot of residents have relocated and moved in with friends and family. Where I work in Lindsay, the south end of town have had power since last Monday/Tuesday. The north end of town is still out. People on the exact same street are without power looking at their neighbours’ homes across the road all lit up like a Christmas tree.

This is cottage country. Many people have generators and outdoor cooking capability. We were personally out for 64 hours. We had literally just moved in two days prior, so we were caught flat footed. Won’t happen again.

That just plain wrong! It's snowing in Vermont today as well. And they ask me why I left the north for warmer possibilities. However, now that you are almost done with that weather it is supposed to be in the 30 degree F here tonight. Please stop sending that down here, I didn't call for any tariffs. I'm on your side.

@JenniferS , how's Daisy enjoying her new home? 🐶 Any nice pups in the neighborhood for her to make new pals with?
Daisy and the kitties have settled in brilliantly.
There are many neighbourhood dogs but she doesn’t interact with any of them. She’s very timid. (I know, I know, I should socialize her with other dogs, but they stress her out, so why should I have to? My dog is on a leash, your dog should be on one also, and I will step into a driveway or onto the road to let you pass.)

I’m not fond of big dogs either. Phobic actually, which I’m sure I’ve shared. I did however pet a beautiful girl whose owner stopped to chat while I was taking out the recycling. Y’all would have been so proud of me.

Her name is Stella, and I gave her a few head scritches … although I had to remind her that I don’t sniff her crotch, so maybe she should get her face outta mine.

Stella is a somewhat small for her breed, Great friggin’ Dane! Ha!

Remember the days when I could (and did!) sleep in until noon?

Admittedly I’m going to sleep two hours earlier, but am now consistently waking up 4-5 hours earlier. The math ain’t mathing.

Stupid achy joints and bones. 🤬

The theming is better at Typhoon Lagoon, and I LOVE the big wave pool there. That said, I also like Blizzard Beach, and it's usually a bit less crowded than Typhoon. The Downhill Double Dipper is fun, the lazy river around the park is relaxing, and the enclosed tube ride at Runoff Rapids is a blast. (I haven't done the Slush ride, because I didn't want to do it as a solo -- it looks really scary! Same for Summit Plummit -- NO)! :p

We’ve actually never gone to any of the WDW water parks. We have Schlitterbahn here just down the road, so never felt the need.
Does one of those have a slide where you cross your legs and arms, to be dropped through a trap door, almost straight down…?!
There’s one like that here in a small local waterpark, and it’s a blast…!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Plus, we also have a Kalahari Resort just down the road, that has similar…!!! :)
