I'm really surprised at how little bridal fashion changed in two years...I could post a pic from my own wedding in May 1986, and my headpiece and dress, and bouquet are all very similar!

Just got news that a good friend has just lost her brother to 9/11 cancer, just as I did.

I have one coworker who tells me I can find a silver lining in anything (only when I put my mind to it, I think) and if there’s a silver lining to this, it’s that in 2014 my brother got only a year from his diagnosis, and now 9/11 cancer victims are getting at least 3 years, so that’s evidence that progress in cancer treatment is being made, even though 9/11 cancer is particularly sucky and difficult and (bad word that I wouldn’t use here, even if the forum would allow them)

I haz a sad.
