We got our flu shots (right arm) and COVID booster (left arm) yesterday morning.

Right arm hurts a little. Left arm, I can barely lift.

Spoke to my other brother as well last night, and he’s still not well. Not sick to the point that I’m threatening to drive home and take him to the hospital, but he’s had long COVID since mid-summer, and truly believes he will never fully be himself again.

I don’t know if the boosters do anything anymore, or if they’re like the flu shot, and will just lessen the severity of illness. I know a lot of people have hopped off the vacc train, and I have no judgement either way. We accepted all along that this would be a yearly booster thing. The gov’t provides them free of charge, and you can piggy back them with your free flu shot. What you can’t do, is lift your arm the next day. 😂

I’m finally going home next week after five plus months, so my brothers and I are getting together for tea. I miss them.
I got my flu shot last week... Or was it two weeks ago. Anyway, the Covid shot has always just been to reduce the severity as far as they told us here. And if you've had Covid recently, you don't need a booster. I just had Covid a month or two ago and they always said if you had gotten it, you didn't need a booster for 8 weeks. I always manage to get sick a couple of weeks before they start offering the next round of boosters, so then I can't get the booster because I just had Covid.
