Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

It’s the time of year again when the Fahrenheit Phenomenon takes hold.
The primal urge to stay indoors if the temperature is below your age.
🥶
That is exactly why I moved south. If it weren't for that I would hardly ever go outside in Vermont. Truthfully though, this is the stretch where we are much cooler, but not really a lot cooler until January and February. Today it was 38 degrees F when I got up at 7am. That is nothing more than sick and very much under my contractual agreement when I moved here.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
It was hecka cold here last night. Not in the apartment though. There are a lot of seniors in the building, so management keeps it WARM!
Once I figured out how to shut off the rads last March, the heat hasn’t been on since.

Spenser just called me to ask how to switch the new thermostat at home from cool to heat. I have zero idea, and Ski has to be up for 5:00 am tomorrow, so he’s already in bed. I told Spenser just to sleep in our bed, and use the electric blanket.

It's been in the 40s here lately. When I got home from work, I walked in, and it felt kind of chilly in the apartment. The thermostat said it was 70. Normally it's more like 74 or 75.

I don't run the heat at all in the winter. I think last winter, I ran it for just 3 or 4 days when it was -20 windchills. Other than that, the apartments that surround me keep it warm enough. I also would crack open the patio door because it got too hot sometimes.

That's totally different than my old apartment on the first floor. I had the garage below me, so it was always cold in the winter. Much different being on the second floor now.
