Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

You better line her up for some psychological help when she returns. I'm sure she is traumatized. That is the one I saw too. The line to the original was way to long and this one is supposed to be the exact copy, including quality of sculpture.
She said there was a bunch of merch for sale with nothing but the genitals on it, like a bag that said "I love David." She wanted to take a picture, but couldn't get close enough or they were moving too fast or something. But she said it was hilarious and she saw a LOT of artwork depicting male genitalia today. Apparently the Italians love their genitals, or did back in the day.

If they did they certainly didn't bother to display the love in any significant manner. 😉 Seriously, though, I suspect the shirts are an indication of our turning into a laughing stock. They probably came out shortly after the big deal was made about David over here. We aren't impressing anybody these days. In actual artwork though, during the Renaissance it was an era of the unclothed paintings and sculptures.

Yeah, they went to the Uffizi museum and she sent a bunch of pictures of the art. Botticelli, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Carravaggio, etc...there's the birth of Venus where it's just a naked woman standing in an oyster shell. She's covering herself, but, she's not clothed. And Spring by Botticelli I think? They are clothed, but not with much. It wasn't a big deal back then in the artwork. I don't see why we make such a big deal of it now. But I'm glad E is getting to see some real culture.

The older I get and the more aware of what is going on in the country, I can clearly see how important travel and cultural experience is and has been for me.

We ended up getting less than an inch, it was either rain or melted as soon as it hit the ground. I guess the roads were a bit icy this morning and the wind gusts were really strong. I'm glad we didn't get more snow or have a snow day, but I could have used a 2 hour delay.
We probably got 3ish inches. But by the time I got out of bed, the roads were just wet. They were fine to drive on when I left home around 8:45.

I almost feel bad....well..
ALMOST. Yet I will still follow thru with my annual photo of my cherry blossom tree.View attachment 710931
I’ll see your cherry blossom with my crabapple. 😃

It’s actually two crabapple trees that are wrapped around each other and blossom about a week apart. They came with the house, so I don’t know why they grew (or were planted) that way.

Very pretty, does it smell good? I can't wait until the lillacs start blooming around here, those smell so good.
I have quite a few lilacs, love the smell. I even have a “lilac blossoms” candle on my dresser in the bedroom. Noticed this weekend that a few lilac shrubs at the far end of my garden started breaking their buds, so I’ll have to make sure to visit them more often. I have a white lilac near the back door that’s very fragrant.

That crab apple tree is really neat, I like the blossoms on those too. I have a couple lilac bushes but they just have the smallest of leaves starting. Our spring plants will probably be delayed by about 2 weeks since we had such a harsh winter. It will still be lovely when everything blooms but for now I’ll just have to settle for all the pictures people are posting.
