We stopped at Buc-ee's in Calhoun, GA to gas up and use the bathrooms. That place is huge! I had seen Kara & Nate from YouTube spend 24 hours at one in Texas, which is why we decided to stop.

We got some fudge and treats. I impulse bought a shirt and tumbler with the Buc-ee's logo. We were in a hurry to get back on the road, and I figured I'd never be at a Buc-ee's again.

I wonder if it will play in Canada.
Last release, it only played on 20 screens for one week in the US.

Luckily for us, NYC was one of the cities, and we just happened to be there at the time. Got to see it twice!
This time it is going to be sailing in the South Atlantic and instead of the sucker sliding off the door she plans on pushing him overboard. The boat doesn't sink and spends the next 50 years and two World Wars happily being the very first "Love Boat". Many years later there is an expedition to a number of recycled steel locations in a successful effort to find the remaining pieces for a documentary.

Once more than me, you thrill seeker you
Y''know, now that you mention it, I do think I only did the whole thing once. It was my sainted husband who went on it twice, once was ""our"" first ride, the second time he went with his cousin (whose first ride it was) and I took the chicken exit.

So, you and I are about equal on the thrill scale. #winning
I could go boing boing all day!
Says you.

Seriously, more power to you. I wish I liked the HTH.
I have avoided the Tower of Terror because of that dropping sensation. I do like Splash Mountain. Yes on the biggest drop my heart would race...but it's fun 😉
Splash Mountain doesn't bother me in the least, it's a totally different drop than ToT.

BTW, this week ends in July. How long til August?? ;):D (I'm replying to this post from Ireland, haha)

I am still so sad we weren't able to make getting together work in NYC (pre-pandemic, I'm not even sure what frickin year it might have been), anywho, please do let me know whenever you are in NYC and as long as I am in the (city)(country) at the time, I'll be there.

We are trying to have mom book us a room in Tuscola, IL. It's the only room that's available on the interstate we're on. It's still 2 hours away, but the other option is driving the entire way home as we're exhausted. I think we'd rather sleep and have 4.5 hours to go tomorrow.

I started ranking my top 10 rides, but I kept going because I felt like I was leaving a bunch of really good ones out. I was really impressed with the attractions this trip. I remember not too long ago when Test Track and Soarin' were the only "big name" rides at Epcot. Now they don't even crack my top 20. My top 5 has two new rides, which is saying a lot for me as someone who gives a lot of weight to the nostalgia factor. After years of complacency and not much action, I am very pleased overall with what Disney has offered with it's new rides.
  1. Haunted Mansion
  2. Tower of Terror
  3. Splash Mountain
  4. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
  5. Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
  6. Spaceship Earth
  7. Flight of Passage
  8. Space Mountain
  9. Peoplemover
  10. Pirates of the Caribbean
  11. Living with the Land
  12. Expedition Everest
  13. Big Thunder Mountain
  14. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
  15. Rock N Rollercoaster
  16. Rise of the Resistance
  17. Peter Pan's Flight
  18. Slinky Dog Dash
  19. Frozen Ever After
  20. Kilimanjaro Safaris
  21. Test Track
  22. Jungle Cruise
  23. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  24. Na'vi River Journey
  25. Dinosaur

This could be fun. My top 7 are locked. There is probably lots of movement 8-25, depending on the day you ask me.

For me, my rankings will be based on the hypothetical question: If you could only ever ride these 25 rides/attractions again, what would they be?

Or, to put it in terms Peter Quill would understand, I proudly present ….

JenniferS’ Awesome Mix Vol 1:

1. PotC - DL Edition
2. ToT
3. Splash Mountain
4. Indiana Jones - DL
5. Radiator Springs Racers - DL
6. IaSW - DL Edition
7. SSE
8. Big Thunder - DL Edition
9. Space Mountain - DL Edition
10. Guardians ToT (Mission Breakout) - DL
11. Carousel of Progress
12. Rock’n Roller Coaster
13. Soarin’ Over California (Over the World definitely ranks much lower)
14. American Adventure
15. Jungle Cruise - MK Edition

The remaining 10 are in no particular order:
People Mover
Haunted Mansion - DL Edition
Frozenstrom
Slinky Dog
RotR
7DMT
Peter Pan’s Flight - Either version
SFR Treehouse
Impressions de France
Kilimanjaro Safaris
