Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

My less than 10 year old fridge is making horrific noises. If fridges could throw up, this one definitely has the dry heaves. Fingers crossed it lasts until tomorrow.

Later today, we will empty it out and transfer as much as possible to the downstairs fridge. We'd planned on temporarily stashing all the frozen stuff on the porch, but with way above seasonal temps for the next few days, that's not going to help.

Sigh. First World problems, I know, but vexing nonetheless.

Sounds like it's mad you bought a new one.

Do you think it's the compressor? I've heard those are what die eventually--expensive to repair.
The fridge is a lemon. We bought it in the fall of 2006. It completely died while we were on holiday in the summer of 2010. Sears kindly let me buy an extension to my extended warranty, so I only had to pay $125 for the service call and $200-something for the warranty extension.

And then, shortly after the warranty extension expired, it completely died again. This time it cost more than $300 to fix, and both times we lost all the food in both the fridge and the freezer.

Like I said - lemon! I shan't be fooled again.

This time, I went with a higher end brand. Kenmore and I have officially separated. My stove is also a Kenmore, and the main trouble it gives me is that the oven racks don't always fit tight. There's nothing like the sound of the rack collapsing and your dinner spilling all over the oven floor. :banghead: Thank goodness, it's a self-clean.

We've had Kenmore appliances and have never had issues in the almost 10 years we've had them.

Sounds like it worked as intended if it was made to break right as the warranty expired. And lately I feel that's how most of the things I own were made.

It may take Holly 3+ days to finish a single bowl of dog food, but she can lick a people food plate clean in a matter of seconds.

Upon the vet's advice, we switched her food to 1/2 regular and 1/2 puppy food, but she still isn't gaining any weight, so I feel just fine letting her have a few licks of people leftovers a couple of times/week.

I'm starting to think she's lost so much weight (although she's always been super lean) since Son #1 moved out. He used to feed her from his plate constantly.
