Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

That quiz was surprisingly difficult for moi. After getting 1 right out of the first 13, I figured it wouldn't get any better, so I exited and hung my head in shame . . .
I got 20 out of 30 and that was in the middle of my era. In all fairness, most of the ones I missed were shortly after I got married and I was (ahhh) distracted. Yea, that's it, distracted.... that's the ticket.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I liked the figure skaters (Ice Vanities--beyond stupid name, but whatever) on the Donny & Marie show. Since I used to figure skate, I was happy that D&M included them in every show. It was also fun to watch D&M get better at skating themselves, during the show's run over a few seasons. :)
I don't remember that segment at all. I actually only remember the "I'm a little bit Country/I'm a little bit Rock and Roll" bit.
Loved Love Boat and Fantasy Island every Friday though.

D & M - 1976-1979
Love Boat - 1977-1990
Fantasy Island - 1977-1984

Nan lived with us from early 1977 to mid 1978, when I was 9 1/2 - 11.

While Googling D & M, I was surprised to see the show was created by Sid and Marty Krofft. (Canadians, BTW.)

Donnie and Marie and Barry Manilow were some of my least favorite people in the 70s.
I used to love to hear Donnie on the Howard Stern Show. Howard would really mock him, and Donnie would play along like a good sport.

When the interviews were done, Donnie came out smelling like a rose, and Howard looked like a school yard bully who had just stepped in dog doo-doo.

I thought I would have known a lot more in that quiz. Music was always on in our house, when I was growing up. Since I was the youngest of 4 kids, I would also hear all the music that my older siblings listened to through the years as well.

I was not a Howard Stern fan.
I listened a little in the early 2000's, for maybe 10 minutes after I had dropped the boys off at school each day. Hubby was the bigger fan, by far.

It was his show that I was listening to, when Robin (I think) interrupted him to say that it appeared a second plane had crashed into the WTC.
I immediately switched to an all news channel.

Stern stayed on terrestrial radio for another four years, but I have no recollection of ever listening to him again after 9/11/01.

I liked "Desperately Seeking Susan" but was more into Rosanna Arquette than Madonna in that movie. In terms of new music around that time my favorite was U2. I never went to a Madonna concert.

That's one of my favorite movies. More for Aidan Quinn, though. :D

I saw U2 during their Joshua Tree tour. Amazing show!
