We always have plenty of that, emergency situation or not.

We had some long and loud thunder a while ago. About 16 inches of snow so far.

Yah, I remember those huge back-to-back storms up here last winter. At least, we all got in our cardio workouts shovelling that! (I actually dropped 8 pounds between last Jan.-Feb. last year, during all those storms. No sooner was the snow removed, when we'd get hit with another giant storm.)

If you had thunder, that is a somewhat rare phenomenon called thunder snow--you should feel privileged!
