I know you're just kidding around, but, I remember numerous Christmas's without snow even in Vermont. I remember one at least 62 years ago when I went into a panic because I couldn't understand how Santa was going to get there when there was no snow on the ground. The more things change the more they stay the same.

I am sitting in the dark, with no light but my beautiful Christmas tree, rejoicing that my hosting duties for the D-side of the family are over for another 7 years.

There were nine family members absent, due to illness or other obligations, so we topped out today at 46.

By the time our turn rolls around again, there will surely be more additions - by way of boyfriends/girlfriends, husbands/wives, and new babies; but looking at some of Hubby's older siblings, I feel sad knowing that there will probably be some absences as well.

And now, I need a coffee!
