When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Just a wee bit ticked this morning.
Avery has a two year old phone bill from when he was 17. Somehow, they got my house number as a contact number, and have been phoning twice/day for more than a week.

Today, they called at 7:35 a.m.
7:35 a.m.!!!

When I said, "Seriously, it's not even 8:00", Miss Fancy-Pants earning minimum wage tells me, "I know what time it is", in the snottiest tone imaginable.

I've nicely informed them that I have passed on their messages. Today, not so nicely.

Next time they ask for his cell phone number so they can contact him directly, I think I'll give them the Police Administrative number - then Union Gas, maybe Rogers, and PUC.

Pretty sure a "Bite me" is coming too.

Cranky JenniferS is headed back to bed. Have a great day everyone.

@meyeet - In case you don't know, Avery is not my kid. He's just a stray we picked up more than a year ago. However the cell phone company got my number is beyond me.

(You know, just in case you think I'm over-reacting.)

I have explained to these folks nicely that Avery is not my kid, that I've passed on every single message, and to please stop bothering me, as I do not have an account with them.

But 7:35 - give me a break.

Your not over-reacting at all. It was a sympathy like mostly. Debt collection agencies are ridiculous when they reach out to extended family in attempts to collect. How am I supposed to have better contact information for my 2nd cousin who I haven't talked to in 5 years then the collection company who was able to find that I was related and my contact information.

Lot's of trick-or-treater's in town already, and it's not even sunset. We brought in 8 full boxes of candy mix to hand out at work, and have already emptied out 3 boxes.

So far it's looking like
Kylo Ren from Star Wars, the Joker from Dark Knight, and Elsa are this year's top picks for costume choices. Seen a few Captain America's as well.

We had a Kylo Ren in our house and expected to see lots more but never came across one all evening. Lots of Elsas though and Olafs too and a couple of Captian Americas. No Jokers though but some batmans.

A kid somehow tripped while leaning in to look at what's in the candy bowl, fell face first into the candy, and broke the bowl. Kid must've been drunk to fall over that easily.

I love how the Canadian in you felt the need to try to justify your anger - as though it wasn't warranted (which it absolutely was!!) In my house they would have gotten few of those words your husbands uses during hockey games if they called at 7:35!

Just saw a couple walking dressed as Donald Trump & Hillary Clinton....holding hands (?)

Not sure which is more shocking, the odd combination of the pair, or the fact people from the south actually know who they are.

Either way, I am regretting not bringing my camera to work this evening.

Did you see Mario Batali's Trump this year? They could have been the same person. Had the accent and gestures down pat.

I'll probably go to my girlfriend's family on Christmas Eve, have breakfast with my dad Christmas morning, and Christmas dinner with my mom's side. Our version of Boxing Day involves sleeping in, eating leftovers, and playing with gifts.

I plan to be in my pajamas from bedtime Christmas Eve until the morning of the 28th. Lol We shall see.

(Ketching up.)
