Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Is it too early for the turkey? I think not.

Turkey before tree.
So if I put my tree up this week, but have this 'lil fellow on the floor below amongst the packages, and have him sitting before the tree rather than hidden behind it...does this still mean I'm properly abiding by the TBT rule?

Packages under the tree?
We don't have any of those until Santa delivers them Christmas Eve.

What? Do you mean that nobody buys other people presents in Cananada? Only Santa brings presents?

We have to supplement Santa with buying presents for other people who have not necessarily been good all year long.

You Cananadians are too well behaved!
Other people buy them, of course, but Santa delivers all gifts. He's like Fed-Ex.

It's funny how things carry over from your childhood. Growing up, we never saw a single gift under the tree until Christmas morning. Same rules now that I'm the mom.

You guys are really taxing Santa...no wonder he has been running late the past few years.

He's getting old, you know, and can't quite keep up with all the competition from Amazon and their flying drones.

We put the gifts from each other under the tree as soon as we wrapped them. We opened those on Christmas eve, then Santa would come and we'd open his stuff Christmas Day. We did it this way when I was a kid and continued it with our kids. Now that they're adults with lives of their own, we just do Christmas Eve together.

We still pretty much do our Christmas morning together as S's - that is, my brothers, their families, our family, and of course, my parents before they passed.
Bro #1 bailed for a number of years; but now that he and Diane have split, he has rejoined us.
Dinner is again all of us, with the exception of Bro #3 and his family, as they go to her parents' home for dinner.
Boxing Day is for Hubby's side. Our year to host again, so yay!!

We usually have dinner at DH's brother, but my daughter and her husband usually go to hier husband's family for that. it gets complicated when there are 2 other sets of parents for the kids to deal with, so we settle for Christmas Eve together.

I'll probably go to my girlfriend's family on Christmas Eve, have breakfast with my dad Christmas morning, and Christmas dinner with my mom's side. Our version of Boxing Day involves sleeping in, eating leftovers, and playing with gifts.

Mark it down, I am actually watching a movie. On tv!
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

And I swear, Dame Judi Dench just uttered the words, "Shall we?", and I had shivers.

This time last year we had just arrived at WDW (11/1-11/11), and it was cold! Record-breaking cold!
Today, not so much.

ETA: Okay, I spoke too soon. But I did record it.
