Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Good luck!!
And I'm back.

The crown had to be cut off - the supporting tooth structure underneath is kaput. A temporary "dome" filling was done to protect the underlying root canal.
If I can get used to the feel of it, it might last a year or two.

Ummmm no! It's not the full width or height of a tooth or crown. It's literally just a band aid, and it's already driving me nuts.

I go back on Thursday for an implant consult. $3200 for a bridge, or $4-$5,000 for an implant. Might as well get the implant, as that does not compromise either of the adjoining teeth. Might as well do it now while I have the cash, 'cause I'm sure insurance won't cover it. :banghead:

Now to YouTube what's involved with the implant.
(AFTER I make the bed, of course.)

I have had a permanent retainer glued to my top teeth for 15 years and I'm still not used to it.

Huge sympathy like! I had a tooth pulled several years ago and had the intention of getting an implant, but kept putting it off due to cost. Luckily it was the next to last molar, so the gap is not really noticeable. Definitely get the implant, though - I never understood getting a bridge and ruining 2 more teeth!
