Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Sympathy Like. Hope she is okay.
Hand - not broken. Yay.
Sending her back for a chest x-ray to check for broken ribs. Also just did an ECG.
And then, blood work to check renal function, and then a CT-scan to check her head and neck.

Someone is probably going to miss the game tonight - or a lot of it anyway. :(

On the plus side, my good deed for the day is covered.

Did you yell at her for not going straight to the ER after the accident? I've heard of people suffering serious damage when their car comes out unscathed - as ridiculous as that sounds. You should always get checked out. Glad she's going to be ok. And glad you have wifi to keep tabs on the game.

Tonight it's supposed to get to 27 degrees. That's right. Below freezing. We have a frost advisory. Tomorrow morning when I go to work it's supposed to be 30 degrees. No. That's not how it's supposed to be. Thankfully it's supposed to get back to the 70s starting on Monday.

Just got home from the hospital.
My friend, not so much. :(

Man, it's weird how things turn out.
They X-rayed her hand. No fracture.
They X-rayed her ribs. No fracture.
They CT-scanned her head. All fine.
They checked her renal function (diabetes being one of her main health issues), and things were not so good.

She spent a week in the hospital in July because her creatinine levels were at 400. Today, they were in excess of 600! I don't know what any of this means, but the doctor said if they can't get them down to the low 400's by tomorrow, they may have to start dialysis.

While I'm not saying that her car accident was a good thing - it wasn't, her car is a total write off - but going to the hospital was clearly a fortuitous decision.

Wow. Well it's a good thing they are taking care of it for sure.

I hope this doesn't mean she's going to need a new kidney at some point.

I have no idea. She's not yet 48, and has some pretty serious health issues.
She doesn't seem to manage her diabetes as well as she should, and she arbitrarily stops taking prescribed meds (that make her feel "off") without consulting her doctor. I was happy to hear the ER doctor give her right proper ship for that.

Anyway, I hope they start to get things under control tonight, and I hope she has a restful night.

Me, I'm making tea, and I'm going up to finish a very good book, and probably start a new one by the same author.

My cousin has gone up to Huntsville to visit her son. Huntsville is about 3 hours NE of here. More North, less East.
She just reported on FB that it is snowing! I told her "too early, send it back!"

Ugh! I'm not ready.

Sometimes things just work out that way. Glad she's on the mend - hopefully it's not too rough of a recovery.
