Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Me too, until the time that I donated an amount that I could afford to them, only to have a follow up letter Thanking me for my donation, however, it, according to them was not enough, to help them do the work that they are trying to do. Please send more ASAP. I try to get past that and think of the kids, but, that approach turned me off completely. So I started to spend time and money supporting the Make a Wish Foundation. They seemed to appreciate whatever I could do. Now that I am retired and have no huge steady income, I have to be very selective in what I donate, but, I do what I can do.

I like both Make a Wish and St. Jude's. I do get annoyed with all the solicitations St. Jude's sends me trying to get me to donate more. I get that they need to promote but it is still annoying.

No nodding off for me last night but a lot of frustration and anger. I've always hated Chase Utley and now I have one more reason.
I've never liked the takeout slides at 2B. Utley was at least heading in the general direction of the base. Sometimes they go way out of the baseline. Definitely need some rule adjustments in any case.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
After an epic battle to remove the giblets packet, the turkey is now in the oven.
It is currently 66 degrees ... going up to 70.
The sun is shining. I can hear the dried fallen leaves skittering along the pavement in the light breeze.

It is a glorious day. And the perfect day to celebrate Thanksgiving. Among the many things for which I am thankful are my WDWMagic friends. I truly consider you guys my friends, and appreciate all your support and camaraderie over the years.

Dinner is at 7:30. I have an 8 kg turkey, and 10 lbs of potatoes for what looks like 3 people. Come on up.

I honestly didn't have a horse in the race for this year's playoffs. Just rooting for whoever wins. But one thing is certain now, after last night, Utley has turned this guy into one big Mets fan this October. If I had one shred of respect for the Dodgers prior to last night's game, it is gone now.

I hope New York clobbers them in humiliating fashion!

so is the day after the Canadian Thanksgiving called Black Tuesday like here the day after is called black Friday?
Nope. Technically Thanksgiving is on the Monday, although many celebrate on either the Saturday or Sunday - and then it's back to work on Tuesday.

Our big, crazy, line-up at 5:00 a.m. shopping day is Boxing Day.

I was glad he got nailed in the head by Tejada's leg. Unfortunately that impact fractured Tejada's leg. He was so far off the baseline he never even touched the base. Hopefully Wilmer will step in and continue to solidify his place in Mets folklore.

You and me both!

Interesting excerpt from a NY Post article:

"He’s a second baseman. If he wants guys sliding like that into him, then it’s perfectly fine,” David Wright said. “… There’s a thin line between going out there and playing the game hard and going out there trying to get somebody hurt.”

That quote and that situation? They’re from 2010.

I had the Falcons in the knockout pool I'm in. It was a rough afternoon and I may or may not still have a bit of a queasy feeling even though the game has long since ended.
It was a very sloppy win. They've had a few of those this season. While happy & cautiously optimistic I am for their season thus far...bragging rights, we certainly do not have (yet).
