Yesterday I went out to a work outing to the Texas State Fair. Which was awesome of course. Later in the evening when there were about 13 of us left, my old boss decided it was a good idea to buy us all tickets to the Dallas Stars season opener, in a suite of course. So we all jumped in cars at the last minute, made it there just in time and watched the Stars beat the Pens 3-0...it was a good night.

Today is the first day of the advance polls. We thought we'd be voting by now.

FYI - For those who don't know, Canada is in the midst of a federal election. Official vote date is the 19th.

I've always been drawn to windy nights, warm or cold. Cold, just means I come in as soon as my tea is done.
And now, I really am going to bed.

I like thunderstorms, dad and I always went outside to see the lightening show! Sometimes it was better than fireworks!
