Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I have officially started my post-Disney cough/cold.
And to make matters worse, I was snoring last night. I hope Hubby didn't hear me, as I always insist that I NEVER snore!

(He's only ever heard me a couple of times in almost 30 years, and it's always been while I've had a cold, but still .... Given how much I nag him, I don't want to give him the ammunition.)

I am pleased to report that for the past 3 days the bus has come at 7:46. All 3 days. Once is an occurance and twice is a coincidence but THREE TIMES is a patternclearly the product of supernatural forces.

Now where did I put my tin foil hat?

She surprised me - she was ready to go at 7:30 but none of the other kids were at the bus stop. So we watched from the door and at 7:40 when nobody else was there she asked me if I would go wait with her at the bus stop so she didn't have to wait alone. When the bus started coming down the street I asked her if she wanted me to go and she said it was OK to wait until the bus got there and then actually gave me a half-hug before she got on.

Aaaaaand, he's back.

Long story short:
There is basically no way feasible to get him into the University stream before the age of 21, when high school funding ends.

The Principal suggested a 5-credit co-op for first semester (4-credit is the usual) at ... wait for it ... the welding shop he just left!, and then a 4-credit second semester.

Then he can go to college for a two year program.
From there he can then apply to University, where those two years of college will count as the first year of his University degree.

FYI - For those who don't know, College and University are NOT the same up here.

Anyway, I called my SIL @ the welding shop.
Me: Are you guys looking for co-op students?
Kel: We're always looking for co-op students.
Me: For first semester? I know a kid looking for placement.
Kel: Does he have any welding experience?
Me: Yes. 14 months.

And then I heard the penny drop. :hilarious:

She just texted me back. He's in! They'd love to have him back, and any extra hours he works over and above the required co-op hours will be on the payroll. So, it looks like his part-time job may be covered too. For first semester, anyway.

Not the plan he was hoping to take but the end result should be the same. That's a win in my book.
