Do you know what I love. People trying to be sneaky with their employee ID....ie: just putting the last 4 or nothing at all.

Like I can't see the whole number (8 digits) in the system.

Coming soon to a bookstore near you: Stupid things Americans do at work. I would be rich if I took notes from my time when I started working to now.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Yes, I’m sure it is way more expensive for you than for me. I bought just a single can last night (half liter size) which I had planned on sharing with my daughter but by the time we got around to eating I didn’t feel like drinking it. And then tonight I had planned to share it but ended up drinking the can before she got home … and felt way less guilty when she told me she’d souped to have a drink with friends after work.
Souped ???

So my mom called and asked if I would want to go to Beauty and the Beast when it comes to Madison in May. My aunt is getting my cousins tickets for Christmas, and she wondered if we wanted to go with. I tried to downplay it and not seem interested. I kept telling her that it sounded like a lot of money. She said she was going to tell her no, but then ended the phone call by saying she'd look into it more and make a decision. So hopefully she tells her no, because otherwise I have two tickets I have to figure out what to do with. And then I'd have to get her a different gift. 😬

She told me multiple times that I didn't sound like I was interested. And she kept saying how it was a lot of money. So I think she's leaning towards no. It's also very rare that I think of something that will actually surprise her, and this is a "different" type of gift that I was excited to give. So I really don't want to tell her about it now if I can help it. My tickets are on a different day than the ones she's asking about. So hypothetically I could go twice if I could find somebody else to go.

What are the odds that my aunt would ask about this? 🙃

Change in topic... My daughter just flew out of Madison about two hours ago coming home from a business get-together. The company she works for is 95% stationed at home and the entire process is handled on line. They have a big meeting about every two years so that the staff has the opportunity to meet actual face to actual face.

At first I thought that scheduling a meeting in Wisconsin in the winter months when people had to arrive from all over the country was pretty fool hardy, but all was well and the weather didn't seem to be an issue, except she said it was colder than a well diggers butt in Alaska, however, she had no delays in transport. I love her colorful phraseology.

You are absolutely correct. The way you describe it, it would have been a cinch to follow if I had seen it. Thanks for the info.
To me the staging of death is not really what I took from it. I think they did die but remember she was a witch with many powers and somehow conjured them back in a supernatural state together. It didn't look like a very hospitable place they were heading at the end.
You probably don't know all the words to the songs, but during one of the songs, they are spreading rumors about the wicked witch, and one of the people says "I hear her soul is so unclean, pure water can melt her!" and Fiero turns to Glinda, and says "People will believe ANYTHING!! Water will MELT her??" And I think there was a part at the very end where Elphaba says she wishes she could let Glinda know she survived or something? And she left behind the green bottle, which in the first movie, she shows Glinda the bottle when they become friends and they are telling each other their secrets...and the bottle was her mother's. Her mother died in childbirth with Nessa Rose. Anyway, I think she leaves the bottle as kind of a message. And the place where they ended up was the place all the animals were trying to escape to through that hole because Oz was no longer safe for them. I'm pretty sure she didn't really die....but since people thought water would melt her, they used that and she was able to go through a trap door that made it look like she melted.

This is all true, but I will add that the musical made it popular (no pun intended), but the musical was based off of a book. I haven't read it, but apparently it was much more graphic than the musical or movies.

I agree that you have to see the first half for the second to make sense. We're essentially watching the Wicked Witch of the West's perspective.
Yes, people have said the book is nothing like the musical/movie. We have the book, but I haven't read it yet.

The Madison airport is great. It's small and clean. Very easy to navigate. That's where we've flown out of for Orlando the past few trips. Madison is also a beautiful city. It consistently ranks as one of the best cities to live in in the US.
