Congrats to your parents on their 65th wedding celebration (o.k., close enough to the actual date). ;)

I'm always in awe of the food spreads your family puts out. No one goes away hungry from those get-togethers! :joyfull:

I used to watch it all the time, but it's kind of faded. The shows aren't as educational anymore, and that's what I liked.

His first game was on Saturday. When we got there, one of my old students saw me and excitedly announced to everyone that I was there. I saw lots of my old students, and it was really fun seeing them all. You essentially turn into a celebrity. After his game on Sunday, a student from last year and her mom came over to say hi. Her mom said it was funny because all the kids over at their diamond were turning to each other and telling each other I was there. She said it was like a little gossip train. 😂

After his game on Saturday, we drove further north to their cabin/lake house. It's actually their parents', but the entire family uses it all the time. It was beautiful. I've heard about the place for years, so it was nice to actually see it. I got a tour of the place, then they took me on an ATV ride around the lake to show me everything. We said I definitely need to go back for a full weekend to do it right.

The baseball team won on Saturday, so the next morning we headed back to the baseball complex for another game. We were winning the whole game, but fell apart a little in the final inning and narrowly lost. It was their last game of the season, so there were a lot of tears from the kids. But it was a good game, and really fun to watch all of them and support my former students.

After the game, we headed over to the nearby Kalahari waterpark in the Dells. We spent the entire afternoon and stayed until they closed. It's a great waterpark, and I had a lot of fun with all of them.

My plate of a cheese chile relleno and chicken and cheese chile relleno with tomatillo sauce, and with refried beans and cilantro lime rice…as per usual, I brought half of it home for lunch tomorrow…!!!!! :hungry:
