Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Pigeon Forge Mini TR - Post 1:

We’re leaving for Tennessee in approx 6 (read 7) hours to pick up Baby Bo on Saturday. We have no big plans (other than to visit with our good friend at the Inn), so a full live trip report is not warranted.

I’ve been having anxiety about the haul home (like severe anxiety), so I called the doctor’s office. She prescribed me a handful of low dose Ativan, so all should be good.

We just dropped Daisy off at Dave and Chrystal’s for her week long visit. They are so excited to have her. They’re going on vacation in October, so I’m pretty sure they have to give her back before then.

The very last three episodes of The Mandalorian, the first four episodes (Season 5) of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and the entire first season of Andor are all downloaded onto my phone. Hopefully Mike is not looking for scintillating conversation during the drive down.

Time to finish packing, and grab a few hours of sleep before we head out. Going to be weird without Daisy.

First pics will probably be as we approach the Ambassador Bridge. And now to quote from my dear dad’s favourite movie … We’re coming to America. (The Jazz Singer … not that Eddie Murphy/Arsenio Hall mess.)

We pulled out of the driveway at 5:00, pretty much on the button. Stopped for gas and Timmy’s in Windsor, just at the foot of the bridge.

I-75 through Michigan was its usual delightful self. Stopped at a rest stop just before Wapakoneta, Ohio (First in Flight) to stretch our legs and use the facilities.

Pretty trees blooming and budding. (And now I can’t remember if I packed my Flonase. We’ll know soon enough I guess.)

Quick Buc-ee’s stop is over. Back on the highway. Provided nature doesn’t beckon, should be a straight run to our destination.

Regular chopped brisket sandwich - $8.49. XXL chopped brisket - $12.99. Add all the meat that overflowed onto my discarded bun … voila - TWO sandwiches! Ha!

The chicken was hot, flavourful, deep fried. Everything that chicken should be!

Double meat.
