Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Lol...I just noticed I grabbed a fork, a knife and a spoon....
then I went a selected three different food items that didn't need any of those. 🙄
On the bright side you are probably keeping a dishwasher employed. Plus, depending on the group I'm with and the temperature of the pizza, I occasionally use a knife and fork to dismantle edible segments. Nothing is more uncomfortable, short of torture, then hot cheese stuck to your tongue. The spoon was a waste of time though unless you were having pudding for dessert.

I was thinking I might have ice cream or pudding....but in the end I grabbed a cupcake and that was finger food as well.
On the bright side, my daughter chose to get ice cream and SHE used my spoon. ;)

I am checking out of my hotel and my daughter will give me a ride to the local Amtrak station.
I am ticketed for an Amtrak train from Lynchburg VA to Iselin NJ.
My wife will pick me up in Iselin NJ...scheduled arrival there today is 5:25pm.

Comes under the label of always be prepared. If you remember the early years of parenthood you had to always think ahead about what you might need but not necessarily will need.

Let us know how the train trip was. I have been looking at train trip reports on You Tube a lot lately and thinking about maybe a cross country or at least east coast venture might be fun. I fell in love with train travel a few years ago when I was in Europe but never felt that the US, being car crazy, ever had established a really dependable rail system that I would feel comfortable with.

My typical college food meal...View attachment 692008
Mine too. In the mid to late 1980s if the main courses were not good the grilled cheese always was a second and good option. I’m amazed by the number of variety and more diverse and numerous healthy options in college cafeteria menus. But then again it goes with the very expensive price tag to send a kid to college. I washed dishes and mopped floors in my college cafeteria to earn money while living in the dorm and ate for free too. A nice perk was we could take some leftovers to the dorm and when we were hungry later in the night we didn’t have to pay for late night food and ate leftovers.

In addition to the comfortable seat I can pass along that my reasonably priced ($7.50) cheeseburger tasted good.20230115_114822.jpg

I am 5ft 11" and I have plenty of leg room in my coach seat. Wider than an airplane coach seat as well. View attachment 692104
Good memories of my Amtrak trip. Rode on auto train from VA to Sanford FL. Roomy seat that could recline to almost like a recliner , much bigger bathroom compared to airplane , and hot dinner and cold breakfast in dining car included in price. A number of passengers brought a lot of food and drink into train prior to departure from Lorton VA.

I am the next stop. The train ran on schedule. It sure was more relaxing than driving.
