by Saturday night I was feeling about 80% sunday I was fine
Glad to hear you feel better now. I've read that if you have some discomfort, etc., that's normal and means it's working. When I had my shots, I only had either very minor side effects -- or just nothing at all. (I think that must mean I'm already dead inside! :p)

I consider myself extremely lucky because I can not remember a single vaccination that had much of any affect on how I felt. The mild one I had was the first Covid (of 5) shot which didn't happen until 8 days after I got it. I had a slight fever (101F - 38.3c), and chills which lasted an hour after I took a Tylenol. Not even sure it was from the vaccination, but that was the only thing that was different. I have been told for years that I was dead inside so it doesn't come as any surprise.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you knew it was coming, but it's still hard. Sometimes it helps to remember fun memories. Do you have a favorite you would like to share?
Auntie is the reason we bought our RV. It was after spending time with her in a friend’s camper that I got the urge, and but for her encouraging us to take the leap, it never would have happened.

Mike moved Heaven and Earth one day this summer to get her a day at the beach with us in Long Point. He loved her dearly. She knows how blessed I am to have him.

Mike has this new sleep app that actually “records” his actions during the night. He can now replay and hear himself snoring, and talking in his sleep, and passing wind (and getting heck for it).

He just played me bonking him in the nose. Twice. And me saying, “Did I hit you? Oh hunny, I’m sorry” … and then giggling.

I recall exactly what happened. I was pulling up the pup’s blanket and bonked him. When he recoiled, he pulled the covers off of her, and then when I readjusted her blankie, I bonked him again.

At least there’s proof I apologized. And laughed.

Today was the funeral. It was absolutely lovely. We live-streamed, and had dozens of people around the country join us online, and many dozens more in Africa partake as well.

We laughed. We cried. We did her proud. Auntie would have enjoyed the service immensely.

Good bye my beautiful Auntie. I will miss you desperately. ❤️

Sounds like a wonderful, well-deserved sendoff.

God bless all of you, and may she rest in peace.

It sounds like a nice tribute to your Auntie and it is wonderful that so many could join in virtually to honor her.

For 40 years or more I could walk into a 7-11, Wawa, Quick Chek, etc and get a 12 ounce can of soda.
Now those cans haven't been available my last couple of tries. One try at Wawa in NJ and another try at Love's Travel Stop in Carlisle PA.
I bought what they had...a 16 ounce plastic bottle.
Anyone ever see 16 ounce soda cans in your area(s)?

Around here, 7.5 oz cans are gaining visibilty. Mostly in the supermarkets, though. Admittedly, I don't go into convenience stores very often.

I really don’t drink soda but now that you mention it I can’t remember seeing single cans in a convenience store for a while now - only in vending machines - but even they seem to have those plastic bottles.

Why? I would venture a guess that the companies have just moved to the extremes. The people wanting a healthy portion are offered the small cans ( not enough for me ) ....or the people who are supposedly not concerned about health are offered 16 ounces which is more than I wanted.

Buy two 8 oz cans. I never liked the 16 oz cans because they always seemed to get flat by the time I finished them. I found that I don't really like to drink that much liquid all at one time. I noticed that when I go out to dinner with friends or family, I get one glass of whatever and I have to finish it up before we leave. In the meantime my companions are finishing up their second and sometimes third refill. So I guess I am one of the people to blame for the smaller portions.
