Today my school district is closed so those of the Jewish faith can observe Yom Kippur.
With my free time I am doing minor misc. projects. One of them is switching my warm weather clothes from the master bedroom to the spare bedroom and bringing long sleeve cold weather clothes to take their place. I am wondering if my method is shared by any of you? I take 6 individual shirts from their hangers and I stack-layer them onto one sturdy hanger.20221005_092550.jpg

This frees up a bunch of individual hangers for the long sleeve shirts. I just repeat this process until all shirts have been swapped. ANYONE ELSE HANDLE IT THAT WAY? IF NOT, WHAT IS YOUR METHOD?20221005_092558.jpg

I’m divorced and don’t have to share closets or drawers so I my winter/summer closets and my winter/summer dresser drawers. It’s awesome. 😂

Drove my daughter back upstate to college yesterday and got to see some small glimpses into the beautiful fall colors of the trees. I saw the best displays while I was driving (speckles of red, orange and yellow mixed with the greens) but when we stopped the colors were just OK. I took some photos anyway.

Nice. This makes me hopeful that the upcoming weekend will work out perfectly for my wife and I to travel to upstate New York to enjoy Fall foliage at Letchworth State Park.

@NYwdwfan have you ever been there? We will be first time visitors this Saturday.

I took the easy way out. My summer clothes are the same as my winter ones. I do switch from shorts to big boy pants (grudgingly) but I hate long sleeves and if it gets chilly I put on my windbreaker jacket or if really cold I do have a winter jacket. I have been down here for almost 12 years and I have only used it once. I even have winter boots someplace. I haven't used them since I left Vermont. I used the boots to store the propane gas canasters for my "camping" stove in. I had that in case the electricity went out. Never used that either, so I sold that, with the gas, when I move to my recent address a couple years ago.

Steve, your method is brilliant!! We also switch over closets for summer and winter, but we just have A LOT OF HANGERS.

Although I do ascribe to the wise words of Joan Crawford--"no wire hangers"!!! 🤣 We have a mishmash of plastic hangers and those very flat "velvet" hangers.

I recall a few weeks ago that you showed off your wife's fall decor, and I am very very late because I've been traveling, but I thought maybe you wouldn't mind if I shared mine as well. I do love fall decor.

This is the windowsill of the bay window over my kitchen sink. I'm big into "candlescaping", I have way too many candles and candleholders for a normal person.

I know you don't want to see my closets, so I won't share those. :D

I'm heading back to Dublin on Oct 28 to have my mom's first anniversary mass in her hometown with her surviving sisters and my cousins, and I will give your regards to Ireland. ;)
