Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

We’ve been to Boldt Castle many times, but not since the pandemic. Some years, they knock out a newly refinished room or two; other years, none at all.

I haven’t told Mike yet, but I’m interested in the Singer Castle boat tour too. We’ll see if we can swing it. It’s a tremendously short trip, but we’re not taking the pup, so we had to work around Spenser’s new job schedule.

We got the trailer hooked up to the new hitch today. That was fun … and not at all stressful.🙄

I haven't had any desire to see it again even though I lived only about 150 miles away for 50 more years. The emptiness and ruin like feeling is what was significant to me. The story, the obvious sadness associated with it actually hit my heart hard. I have since learned to not get overly emotional over many things. Dead from the heart up, I guess. I know it wouldn't mean as much to me now as it did in its deserted feel back then. The love for his wife, the ending of a dream upon her death was the thing that romance novels are made of.

Anyway, nice looking rig, it should be a really great adventure for you, Mike and eventually the little fluffy one.

We rope dropped Epcot today. It was busy. Nemo had a 45 minute wait. Figment was up to 40.

We did Test Track right away, then did standby for Frozen. After that we did our failed Guardians virtual queue. We ended up figuring out the ride going down cost us an hour and a half by the time we waited 30 minutes to be let out, then the time we spent in the line and pre-show a second time, and the walk across the park we had to do to get back to it, and all that stuff.

After the failed Guardians we did Soarin. The wait said 30, it ended up being more like 50. After that we did a LL for Living with the Land. We ate lunch at Sunshine Seasons, which has gone down hill. The service wasn't very good. They ran out of pizza rolls and got mad when people asked for them.

After lunch we used a LL for Nemo, which had a 45 minute standby line. Then we headed up to use our Ratatouille LL. After that we walked all the way back to Guardians for our make up LL. We finished the park with Spaceship Earth, which also stopped for a solid 10 minutes. I've noticed a lot more rides stopping this trip than before. Now we're in our hotel for about 10 minutes before we have to head over to Disney Springs for our Boathouse reservation. We had planned to have at least an hour break at the hotel, but that idea is gone due to the delays and breakdowns.

Oh, I hope it was just a fluke for a day. I've always loved Sunshine Seasons (but I haven't been to WDW in 4 years now, so maybe it's been going downhill for some time). One of my favorite meals there was the turkey sandwich on focaccia with some sort of dressing. It was really delicious. Sorry to hear they didn't have the pizza rolls you liked.

We went to Disney Springs for supper at the Boathouse. It was POURING rain as we were walking through, and our shoes and socks got drenched. Like, walking on wet sponges drenched. So afterwards we came back to the hotel to change. We headed back to DS for a little bit after that and are back in our room now. Not much else to share about tonight.

Tomorrow's plans are MK in the morning and Epcot later in the day, including Harmonious.
